Ok, for anyone who has been wanting Scooba - (Roomba's other half)

coasterqueen wrote: Check your local Target. Our Target had it clearanced for $99 less than the original price! We wanted to get one at Christmas time when we had the money but decided to wait until the prices came down. They have finally come down quite a bit but then when we saw it on clearance this past Saturday for $99 less we grabbed it! thumb.gif I talked with the manager to make sure if we didn't like it we could bring it back and asked him why they were clearancing them and he said they just don't sell very many there. I know that Sam's and Best Buy had them still for $99 more so this was a GREAT deal IMO.

So Roomba got married Saturday and now has a wife, her name is Scooba.

I LOVE IT. If I can't have a cleaning lady, this is the next best thing. laugh.gif

luvmykids replied: thumb.gif Congrats on the nuptials! rolling_smile.gif And what a steal, can you run back and pick one up for me? biggrin.gif

Does any of your bare floor have grout, and if so, how did it do on the grout? What about stuck on stuff? I want one but just wasn't sure how good a job it does.

coasterqueen replied:
I'd get you one but I took the last one. laugh.gif

We don't have grout on any of our upstairs floors. I haven't tried it in our downstairs bathroom. Don't really have "stuck" stuff on our floors at anytime. Dh freaks out by stuck stuff on the floor so if he sees it he wipes it immediately. Otherwise it does a really good job. thumb.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: I still want romba, dont really have many floors for scooba, but that sounds like an awsome deal.

luvmykids replied:
rolling_smile.gif I don't know how I miss it but I always find a corn flake or something that got abandoned somewhere and can't get it off with the regular mop. I just didn't want everyone thinking I have floors littered with days old food!

coasterqueen replied:
No, I didn't think you did. happy.gif I'm just serious about my DH and his radar for anything on the floor. wacko.gif He's kinda wacky like that. laugh.gif

redplaydoh replied: So what price did Target have for them? I'm thinking of having my mom look for one for me. There are no Targets in Switzerland sadly... but we have tile floor throughout the house and I'm sick of mopping every day. How does it work with grout?

coasterqueen replied:
It was around $200-209. I don't know the exact dollars and cents. Most places I've seen then they are $299 or higher.

ETA that I only have one grout floor and it's in the basement. Haven't tried it on that one yet.

amynicole21 replied: Karen, does it ever miss huge sections of the floor? That's the complaint I've heard about Roomba - that it will neglect big portions of the carpet. unsure.gif

coasterqueen replied:
bigthink.gif Never had that happen with Roomba and haven't seen that so far with Scooba. We've only run her twice on each floor, but haven't seen it happen yet.

moped replied: I did some checking on Scooba and it appears that she does far more than Roomba - shocker!!!!!

Actually I love it and I want one but I had no idea they were still over 250.00

coasterqueen replied:
Well of course "She" does. laugh.gif BTW, I got mine for under $250 at Target. It was around $200. I think last year at Christmas time they were well over $300 so they've come down a bit.

redplaydoh replied: I'm sending out the troops (my family in the US) to find me one. Right now, I don't care if I pay $500. I want one.... with having a house without one thread of carpet and a 2 and 3 year old I need one. We have beautiful stone tiles, but they are polished to a high shine, so they almost look mirror reflective. So one crumb looks like two... I hate them, unfortunately we didn't get to pick another type.
This seems like a Godsend!

redplaydoh replied: Maybe in this picture you can see what I mean...

moped replied: Thats Annie & Clarabel!!!!!!!!!!!

FUN

Very nice floor!

jcc64 replied: I am so out of it- I have no idea what anyone is talking about. I'm assuming it's some sort of automatic cleaning device????

I watch far too much tv. When I saw the title to your thread, I thought you were quoting the French beach dude in "Along Came Polly". Anyone who's seen the movie will know the scene. rolling_smile.gif

That was my first response but then I remembered Karen talking about Roomba and Scooba at Christmas time. emlaugh.gif
