Her dancing.. I swear she spends HOURS a day dancing.. haha
Brias3 replied: Oh man, is she a doll!!
What a pretty little girl. I love that bow in her hair too! I can't believe how big she is- I remember you posting pics of just a little baby and now look!!
Calimama replied: I know!! I was just thinking that!! I remember when she was bald and quiet.
luvmykids replied: OMGoodness, she is looking like a little girl
I meant to ask you but forgot what thread it was in...where in Texas are you from?
Jackie012007 replied: she is just gorgeous!!
Calimama replied: Corpus Christi, but my mom just moved a little closer to the South Padre Island area.
lovemy2 replied: My gosh that child is just stunning - I mean everytime I look at her I just can't put my finger on any one thing about her and the only word that comes to mind is stunning - she has such a mix of a look - what nationality is your DH again?
But I don't know - I think she still looks like a little baby girl
CantWait replied: Is she ever adorable. And growing up way to fast for sure. Daddy will be shocked when he sees her.
MommyToAshley replied: Wow -- I can't get over how big she looks now!!! I guess that will teach us not to blink, huh? It does seem like it happens over night and just hits you one day.
She is beautiful!!!

Calimama replied: He's half Filipino (sp?) and half Mexican!
Boo&BugsMom replied: Honey, she IS a toddler! I know, they grow up so fast. It's hard to believe both my boys are as old as they are too. Time goes by way too fast.
Anthony275 replied: i thought he was half italian?
Calimama replied: His grandpa is Italian and his grandma is Mexican so he's part Mexican, Italian and Filipino (His mom is Filipino). He usually just says Mexican though. Poor kid.. she's everything under the sun.
ETA: I'm Italian and Dominican.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: so then he's italian you just call him filipino/mexican instead? i'm confused.
|She is growing up real sweet...
Calimama replied: Let me spell it out for you to make it easier.
DH's- paternal grandpa Italian DH's- paternal grandma Mexican His grandpa died when DH was young so he was raised with the Mexican culture so he just refers to himself has Mexican.
DH's- Mom Filipino, both of his maternal grandparents are Filipino
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Ahh makes sense. You don't need to "spell it out", I'm smarter than that...i know what half and half means just thought you'd said he was Italian before. Maybe you were talking about yourself... but I'm thikning you said you were dominican. so hard to remember details about hundreds and hundreds of members?
I wonder why they call it Filipino, when it's the Philippines?
ETA - oh duh, you editted your post while I was typing mine. Good thing I remembered right... lol
Calimama replied: He is part as am I. I'm half Italian, half Dominican. I typically don't go breaking it down for people when it comes to 1/4 of this, 1/8 of this.. so I say part. Makes life a lot easier. I have no clue why it's not Phillipino.. spell check always corrects me.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yeah i know it gets old ahving to explain all the time... I was born in germany, but am not of german descent... i have native american, irish and french... but plus my german citizehship it's a heck of a mess to try and explain to anyone!! lol
Calimama replied: Wow!! That's more complicated than mine! I really want her to understand that she's not just one thing, kwim? DH's family is big big on the Filipino culture, with the customs, nicknames, etc and the Mexican side all speaks Spanish fluently. I worry sometimes that she's not going to be able to keep up with whose an Ate, a Tia, an Aunt, or a Zia. I want her to learn the culture but not being overwhelmed with them, like I am.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: She'll do fine, I'm sure. We try and teach our kids about our french canadian heritage, as well as the native on my side..but we don't force any of it on them. We do speak to them in spanish sometimes though...and they've picked up quite a bit. I'm by no means fluent, but I get by.
Kids are amazingly smart. Especially with languages. They're learning how to form different sounds in their mouth... and the older they get when they learn a new language, the harder it will be. She'll know who is Tia etc wayyy before you do.
amynicole21 replied: So beautiful
MoonMama replied: My gosh how can she possibly be that grown up already! Denise she just gets more and more gorgeous everyday!!
