na81 wrote: I can't believe how rediculously hot it is outside today!! It's got to be close to 100!! Anyone else sweating their butts off today? I guess it's supposed to be even worse tomorrow!!! sad.gif I think I'll be staying inside! tongue.gif My poor SO has to be out working in this terrible heat (not allowed to wear shorts either), hope he drinks lots of water! blink.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied: Yep! I didn't even take the daycare kids outside today because the heat index is over 100! YIKES!

redchief replied: Yup... in the 90's here and I have to work tonight.
Uniform consists of long polyester BDU style pants, black shoes and polyester shirt. If that wasn't bad enough, the uniform is dark navy blue. Feels like I'm wrapping myself in blue Saran Wrap when I dress for work.

ETA: Just glad I'm not on daywork right now.

kit_kats_mom replied:
poor thing. Why does polyester even exist? it's awful stuff
huh.gif

redchief replied:
According to the boss it exists because it resists wrinkles. I told him once it resists bending and breathing too, but he laughed. Oh, he wears shorts and a t-shirt to work. dry.gif

joshsophia replied: I just got home from work and my car was reading 103 degrees... Goodness sakes is it hot.... cool.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: Not trying to brag, because we get our fair share of heat and high indexes but we are sitting at 78degrees now, with a h/i of 81. cool.gif The only reason it is that low, is because we had overcast skies (here at my house) and Chris on the other side of town said he got some heavy rain. It has been dreary and dark since late morning/early afternoon around 11, I believe.

Boo&BugsMom replied:
That's it!!! I'm moving! dry.gif Don't you live in TN Nicole? Hubby's best friend lives there.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Not TN now, although I was born there. I live in NW Florida near Alabama.

Come on down! We will make room for ya. laugh.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
Wow, and it's that cool there?

I'm hoping to get Troy to let us take a vacation down to Florida sometime when the boy (and any other kids) are older...I love Disney World! He doesn't want to though. dry.gif He says it's boring. How can that be? It's the "happiest place on Earth!". Men! I'm going without him then! I love Florida!

redchief replied:
Something is wrong in the world when it's 78' in Florida and 95' in New Jersey. Did someone play with the United States Jigsaw puzzle last night?

C&K*s Mommie replied: laugh.gif LOL

huggybugboy replied: Its supposed to be up to 91 here today, which is mighty fine with me since it got up to 115 last week. And here I am, a coastal girl who just moved from a 68 degree "heat wave." rolleyes.gif I'm dying. rolling_smile.gif

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Oh Yeah it is HOT here too, 99 with heat indexes near 115. I hate this weather!!

5littleladies replied: It's 100 degrees here right now. ohmy.gif This is supposed to be our last day of this ridiculous heat. Tomorrow we are supposed to get rain and low to mid 80's. I'm soooo excited!! laugh.gif

A&A'smommy replied: there has been some crazy weather in the us here lately anyway its 91 here today which is amazing.. but it also rained here yesterday. And yesterday before it rained it was 99 which I didn't think was too bad either

mckayleesmom replied:
I got rain at my house too and Im only a couple blocks away.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: thumb.gif Yeah it's pretty hot and humid here today too! We're supposed to get some rain tonight, that would be nice!

MyLuvBugs replied: It's been in the 100's here for a couple days now. Luckily it's supposed to cool down this weekend to the 80's. We'll see though rolleyes.gif

Jeffs Wife replied: It was very hot her today and it's only going to get down to about 74 tonight. Tomorrow the temp is going to be in the upper 90's and the heat index in the 100's. I'm glad the kids are going to the beach smile.gif

luvmykids replied:
LMBO rolling_smile.gif

I've lived in this state for 31 of my 33 years and never have we had so much rain. Our average high for this time of year is 100-103, our temps this year have ranged from 70-90 with 90% humidity. Us dry-air types feel like we're smothering. That much heat after that much rain makes for muggy, muggy, muggy.

CantWait replied: Sweating again today, close to 40 with the humidity today.. sun.gif sun.gif Not complaning though.

coasterqueen replied: Tell me about it. I stood out in 100 degree temp from 9 am yesterday til 6 pm with only 1 short brief moment in the air conditioning. wacko.gif wacko.gif wacko.gif
