It sounds as though it was random. They stole the parents car at an OSU paking garage during Dec. The car had address info & house keys and they think that was the link.
The father was on the Today Show yesterday . . . .just heartbreaking . I thought it was very cool that this little boy could provide so much useable info (including his entire address and phone #) that they said it played a large role in solving the crime so quickly.

I am so proud of the kid for knowing and being able to tell all that info, wtg. I hope the (bleep) person gets his payback for what he did

My friend was really good friends with the Mom, and she says that they are investigating an online chat room that the Mom visited. I am not sure how accurate that is ... I haven't heard anything about it in the news. But,then, the news is not always accurate. I do remember her telling me about her car being stolen in December though... how scary.
