Oh, even from 1000 miles away - he brings a smile to my face.

WTH, I'm thinking. So, I look down and what do I see? 3 quartz rocks. Each one between 1/2 and 1 inch big. My son has been taking rocks to bed.

Sam & Abby's Mom replied: Aw, that's sweet ! What is it with boys and their rocks, anyway ?
MoonMama replied: Awww!
redchief replied: Rocks are necessary to boys' growth and some seemingly random ones must be close during sleep. They are not, however, random, but create an important aura of adventure and protection for the young male... Or ummm, something.
gr33n3y3z replied: awww he is so cute
redplaydoh replied: That's cute, but one word of advice.... even if you think he hasn't discovered pockets... check them before doing laundry. I washed/dryed a pocket full of rocks which didn't become dislodged from the pockets until they were in my dryer. It looks like a hailstorm hit the inside of my dryer....

holley79 replied: Are our kids related? Annika is a rock monster. Every where we go she gets a rock. They always wind up in her bed.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: LOL, thanks everyone, especially you Ed. You made me laugh. And I'm lonely today, so I needed it. I just got some pics my FIL took during their time in Fort Wayne, they went to the zoo on the 4th. Looked like fun. I'll have to get them uploaded and post some here. He looked so grown up.
HuskerMom replied: I'll have to remember that in the future.
