Oh I am so mad! I big fat vent and almost in tear

TANNER'S MOM wrote: Ok.. I never leave my kids. But this past two months I will admit I have left them more than ever. Which is 2 times. I had my Dad watch Tanner on our Anniv...and again for a few hours on Sat while I went Christmas shopping. First time I have had a baby sitter since last Christmas!

Okay.. so I tell my Dad.. I know I am going to bother you alot but I need you to watch Tanner on the 17th and the 20th. Randy's Christmas party at work..and he says no problem. He forgets easy so I have called him every other day to remind him.

Well DH..can't come to my party b/c he has to work..so he was really looking forward to his. He had been telling people at work how they wouldn't even know me..etc

So, I gather our clothes up and take them to the cleaners..and I get back and call dad..and I say are you gonna watch Tanner on Sat..and he said why??

Umm cause I have been asking you for a month to watch him on that day..for the Christmas party..and he says I am going to the deer woods..it is the opening of rifle again..

I just want to sit here and cry. Now either Dh will have to miss his party or I will not be able to go and I asked in advance..for ever. I am so sad..and I don't know what to do.. It really pee's me off bad.

He was like well I wont' go.. I said don't worry about it. He said then who will watch him..I said No one..we will stay home. Hello who can watch him.. No one.. I have no one but him! No grandma to watch him here... Okay.. I am crying now!

mckayleesmom replied: Oh sweetie....How old is your oldest son? Maybe he can watch tyler...Maybe rent them some movies and pizza and go at least for a couple hours.

ammommy replied: Are there any girls at the local HS that babysit?
I say that if your Dad is still willing to babysit, then he should. He agreed to. There is no reason for you to feel guilty about him missing his hunting party.

TANNER'S MOM replied: Well it is Brittany and Justin's weekend with there Dad..which is why I only needed a baby sitter for one..which is easier than 4..

But I am too afraid to leave them all home alone. I will Brittany but not the boys..and sometimes Tiffany but no boys.

I live miles from anyone...and 50 miles from town. If there was an emergency somethign bad could happen before I could get home.. and I worry to much about that. We have life flight of course..but heaven forbid.. I just can't do it!

TANNER'S MOM replied:
I don;t know.. we live so rural that we have no neighbors and no one I know that I am comfortable with. I can't just leave him with anyone..lol I mean I know he is 7 but still my baby.. you know!

My2Beauties replied: OH Mel I am so sorry! hug.gif hug.gif If I lived closer I promise I would babysit for you. I am so sorry! I think you should have a heart to heart with your dad, I mean he did promise for a month now! hug.gif hug.gif

luvbug00 replied: hug.gif hug.gif can he go with??

mckayleesmom replied: Is there any way you can ask the dreaded Inlaws if they would like to see Tanner for the weekend......DON'T SHOOT ME MEL laugh.gif

mammag replied: I have to agree. I would tell Dad that you do need him. He did promise it and you even reminded him. It's not like he can't go hunting another day.

I know how you are feeling because Chris' mom has done that to us many times. hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

I hope you are able to go.

Sarah&Mackenzie replied: I really hope you are able to find someone!!! hug.gif

Insanemomof3 replied: hug.gif I would watch him for you anytime if I lived closer. hug.gif hug.gif

CantWait replied: That really sucks big time hug.gif Your dad at the very least should come over for a bit and miss the first bit of his party.

Kaitlin'smom replied: hug.gif oh Mel I am sorry. I woudl take him if I was closer. Theres got to be some way to work it out so you both can go. Darn let me think about it.

kimberley replied: oh no! i'm sorry Mel sad.gif i hope you can figure something out. hug.gif

TANNER'S MOM replied: Well I might have a solution. Tanner's friend Payton is a real sweet boy..and only place I have ever let him stay..and I called his Grandma...and asked her if Tanner could please spend the night..and she said they would love it. The last time they called... I chickened out and had Payton come to our house instead. SO.. I think as long as I can do it.. It will be ok.

ammommy replied: That sounds like a great solution thumb.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied:
OK mom~ I am going to tell you what you told me...He will be fine and he will have so much fun and so will you! (I did not have fun but you get my point emlaugh.gif ) Take a deep breath and say see you in the morning Tanner! hug.gif You have a cell phone-he will do great! hug.gif

amymom replied:
I agree!

Good solution!

Kaitlin'smom replied: If I can do it so can you and its only over night for you. I bet he will have so much fun and you can have fun yourself.

jacobsmama replied: As I was reading all the posts I was thinking maybe he has a friend that he could stay the night with so I think that is a great solution!!! and Tanner will have a blast and so will you!! Have fun Mel you deserve it! tongue.gif
