I'd be flipping out too, in fact I did flip out when I found out I was pg with Macie, just because we hadn't planned on it and I was so shocked. Of course things work out but I know the timing is not really what you had in mind and it can be overwhelming

I got pg with our second right around when our oldest was 8mos old too. Even though we struggled with a job loss, relocating and a decrease in income when I became a sahm- For us, it was the best (unbeknownst to us) decision that could have been made.

Its also crazy to think that I have absolutely no idea when my LMP I seriously couldn't even give you a guess to which month

Kirstenmumof3 replied: Congratulations! I know your reaction all too well, I found out I was pregnant with Spencer just shortly after Emily turned 1. We weren't trying, we were using protection and then I found out I was pregnant. I hope that once the shock wears off that you will be happy!

Mommy2BAK replied: WOW!!! I can imagine your shock I can't even believe that, I guess the old Health class teachers were right, "it only takes one time" . Let us know once the shock wears off, I'm so excited for maddie to be a big sister, she'll have a playmate close to her own age!

Cece00 replied: The shock is normal. I missed a pill & that is how I got my oldest son and my youngest son I didnt miss ANY pills and got pregnant on b/c. Not to mention our daughter was TWO months old when I got pregnant with Jack. Shocked wasnt quite the word for how I felt. I actually was CRYING because I was so freaked out.

But anyway, we have our baby boy and he is SO wonderful and once the shock wears off, you get so happy about it so quickly. I couldnt imagine life without any of my kids, and only ONE of them was planned and all 4 of my kids are under 6 yrs old.

Dylan was a complete "surprise" we were NOT trying and this time around, although it was planned I was still very shocked because of how quickley it happened! Things happen for a reason even though it might be hard to believe that right now, once the shock wears off you'll see what a blessing it is!

He heard me scream in the bathroom and rushed in and saw the test in my hand so he knew right away, he wasn't upset like I was, he was just shocked....
I was like "...but we don't get along!!!!!!!!! we can't have another!" and he suggested going back to counseling (he's been extra nice to me ever since - he has a lot to make up for being such a jerk during Maddie's pregnancy)
