OMG - kids

boyohboyohboy wrote: ok, so i know i am not allowed or supposed to leave a baby near my very energetic 2yr old alone....
but i had to go to the bathroom and andrew was in his swing and jake was watching tv...
i knew it would just be a min.

well, when i come back, i find that andrew is in the swing, with jakes winter hat on, and its over his eyes of course, and he has a lap full of tools from bob the builder, and a piece of toast on the tray..

if i hadnt freaked out to make sure none was in his mouth i might have thought to take a pic of it before i dismantled jakes job...

this boy is going to be the death of me yet

andrew looked thrilled..

I remember when Aiden was first born Tanner wanted to help so he took it upon himself to pick him up (Aiden was about 2 weeks old). He came around the corner with Aiden in his arms say "mommy here, he's crying" (arms stretched out in front of him with Aiden laying across them). I about freaked! ohmy.gif I look back now and think what a good big brother for trying to help, but gosh it totally wigged me out thinking he was going to drop him or his head would snap. wacko.gif

Oh the things they do. blink.gif So innocent, but yet enough to give us grey hairs. laugh.gif

luvmykids replied: I remember those days rolling_smile.gif

lisar replied: I remember those days very well.

boyohboyohboy replied: i guess from now on i only go to the bath room when my husband gets home!

holley79 replied: I was the "big sister" who was forever picking up my brother. I remember my mom telling me abotu the time she came into the bedroom where I was holding my brother and I threw him back in the bed real quick because she scared me. blush.gif

grapfruit replied:
laugh.gif Whoops! That's not good!

holley79 replied:
Nope it wasn't and Thank God he wasn't seriosuly injured. blush.gif It's amazing what older siblings put the younger ones through.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Argh I feel your pain - I STILL can't leave Andrew alone with Allie and she's 10 months old! If I do she gets pushed or something gets taken away from her. He's not always mean to her I guess though - the other day I left the room for a couple minutes and then came back and Andrew had given Allie a slice of his banana. I tried to tell him that they have to be cut up smaller than that for her, but the next day he broke off a big chunk of a banana that wasn't cut up at all and gave it to her. wacko.gif Oh and a week or two ago he found some bright red nail polish and was trying to FEED it to her using the brush end - I heard her crying so I went to look and she had nail polish in and all around her mouth. ohmy.gif

Calimama replied:
My sister told me Santa wasn't real when I was 6! Evil, evil big sister. emlaugh.gif

boyohboyohboy replied:
oh my! i know these times are just going to get worse, and would have been had we not been watching andrew like a hawk..jakes really infatuated with andrews eyes he has attempted to poke them out with his fingers

lovemy2 replied: Don't you just love it though - better that he gave him the tools than hit him with them though tongue.gif

Olivia wanted to paint Dylan's toe nails the other day - DH about lost it laugh.gif

DillsMommy replied: rolling_smile.gif Thats cute!

luvmykids replied:
Trust me, it will happen, and DH will live rolling_smile.gif

Calimama replied:
I recommend hot pink. rolling_smile.gif

MoonMama replied:
All my brothers have let me paint their toe nails at one time or another. My oldest borther broke his foot when he was 15 and actaully let me paint them pink right before he got his cast I was 5 at the time. And when the "hot" nurse said something my mom said he was so sweet about and just said "oh my little sister wanted to paint them so I let her" no big deal to him at all. wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

bawoodsmall replied:
Trust me I do know what you are saying. I always say Aiden will be the death of me. emlaugh.gif So full of spunk(good and bad) and always getting into something he shouldnt be in. I would almost hide and see if it happens again so you can get a good pic. He was just giving his brother some of his toys. What a sweetie. wub.gif

MotherForever2043 replied: How cute wub.gif

and scary at the same time!

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
Oh yes my Andrew was fascinated with Allie's eyes for awhile too. He was always trying to stick his fingers in her eyes, and in her mouth. rolleyes.gif Once he tried to write on her face with a pen and poked her right under the eye with it. ohmy.gif
