OMG!! Talk about a huge hit to the ego!

I agree w/your DH. First of all HE loves you and obviously wants you to wear the bikinis. THAT'S what matters, not some jerk at the body piercing place. Personally, I'd of told him off.

You are beautiful for you, you obviously have a great husband that thinks you're beautiful. You continue on your journey of losing weight, and wear those bathing suits proudly.

Just go somewhere else and continue to feel proud of your success. Losing weight IMO isn't so much about how you look, but about how you feel inside. Think of it as getting HEALTHIER instead of thinner. If you FEEL great, then that shines through to how you look too!

Even when you know in your head it shouldn't matter, it still hurts. My mom sent me a bunch of shirts yesterday from the thrift store she works at becaue I don't have any clothes, and all of them except a really ugly one and one for working out in were too small. And, one of the pairs of shorts she sent looked HUGE and I thought they'd be too big, but they fit. I was depressed about it for the rest of the day. It's not the same thing I know because that guy was a jerk and my mom was just trying to help, but I know how easy it is to get discouraged when you've been working really hard and then something happens to make you feel like crap again.

Teesa®© replied: Actually, and no offence to you at all, that guy wasn't being a total jerk. Assuming he's a smart piercer, he's thinking long term as in weight loss. If you had mentioned anything at all about having lost weight to him, - and even if you didn't, he would have considered future weight loss if he was any kind of good piercer at all - he wouldn't have pierced you due to the ring would move with the weight loss and possibly end up nowhere near where it should be. Then it would look weird and he would feel responsible for it because he did it originally.

I don't know how much weight you've already lost, or if you plan on losing more, but I hope that you take the possibility of the ring moving into consideration. A few extra pounds shouldn't make a difference, maybe even up to 10 pounds might not either. I don't know. I know when I was pregnant with DD and DS, the weight gain knocked mine off kilter a bit - it was at "one o'clock" instead of at "noon"

I do think he could have worded it a lot more eloquently, though, or at least explained to you the reason why he refused.

Congrats on your weight loss! I know how hard it is and I know how badly one stupid comment (from someone who matters NOT) can wreck it all! If your DH bought you a bikini then he obviously wants to see you in one. Men aren't usually wrong about who looks good in a bikini so wear it proudly girlie!
