OMG! She was so embarassing last night
coasterqueen wrote: Our Pastor came over to the house last night to discuss Megan's Christening for next weekend. Kylie of course was being super rambunctious and wouldn't let any of us get a word in edge wise. Her typical normal behavior. Anyways she blurts out "I hate God". First off I have never heard her say the word hate that I know of. Second, OMG, she didn't just say that to our Pastor.
Since we have had 3 deaths in our family within a month's time Kylie has asked a lot of questions and we've been trying to explain death to her the best way we can. Somehow I guess she doesn't like him now. Who knows.
Our Pastor said "oh you definitely need to start coming to Sunday school now". It doesn't start til age 3 and we had been talking about how excited she was about getting to start going soon.
The things kids say.
amynicole21 replied: Oh no! I can't believe she said that to HIM! Silly Kylie
gr33n3y3z replied: She doesnt understand what she is saying and I'm sure the Pastor understands
coasterqueen replied: You are right and he did understand. It was just like one of those "OMG, please tell me she didn't just say that". DH and my face both turned beet red as soon as she said it. I'll definitely have to tell her this one some day.
luvbug00 replied: What inconvenient timing!! Well that's kids for ya
MissyKay2005 replied: Awwwww my goodness! You can't blame the kid though with the cunfustion...lol I can imagen being embarised though...lol. Poor thing
TANNER'S MOM replied: I am soo sorry..
It always happens that way doesn't it.
Randy and Tanner are w/ my boss right now.. I am worried to death about what he will say..
My Mom says you are a sob..
My Mom needs more money..
My Mom said your new girlfriend is FAT..
I can see it all. I told Randy to PLEASE make him be quite..please
coasterqueen replied: OMG Mel! I hope he doesn't say anything either.
Jamielou replied: oh my goodnes I would have been so embarrased too but you know she is just little and doesnt understand...and with the deaths maybe she is mad at him right now.
5littleladies replied: Sorry to laugh Karen but LOLOL!!!! That sounds like something my kids would say! How embarassing! Don't worry though-like everyone said, I'm sure your pastor didn't think anything of it.
ediep replied: oh how funny!!! That sure is embarressing!!!!
jacobsmama replied: OMG that little stinker...Kids do say the darndest things.
A&A'smommy replied: OMG yeah I'm sure she didn't know what she said!!!
My2Beauties replied: Oh I would've died of embarrassment! I'm sorry, she just doesn't understand right now! I hope your pastor knew she didn't mean it and you guys certainly would not have every said anything like that for her to get that idea! Don't kids just say things at the most opportune times!
DansMom replied: One of those moments that is frozen in time! I'm sure it is because of all the connection to death and tension recently. Kids do say the darndest things!
Mommy2BAK replied: Oh no! Karen, you poor thing. I would be embarassed too, but she is just a child and doesn't know any better. And bless her heart for trying so hard to understand death.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Oh no!!! Karen that is hysterical!!! I'm sorry to laugh, but I can totally picture this. It would happen to me!! Maddie is famous for saying embarassing things! I hope she likes Sunday school. Maddie has been begging us to go. I'm so ashamed.
maestra replied: Our church has a children's program, starting with infant rooms, and then going to classrooms at age 2. The classrooms are more about play, but they usually talk about Jesus during their art activity, and they tell them a short short story from the bible.
Lately, Jaci has been yelling out "Oh My God!" anytime she is surprised by everything. She heard my mom say it, and now loves the expression. I am so worried that she will say it at church one of these times.....
MommyToAshley replied: OMG, Karen, She didn't???!!! I am sorry to laugh, but the mental picture of the whole situation is too funny! She doesn't really understand what she said, but could she have picked a worse time to blurt it out. I would have been beet red too, but at least you will have a funny story to tell her when she gets older. Hopefully it's funny to you by then.
