OMG OMG OMG!!! - Please help quickly!!!!
my2monkeyboys wrote: I took a pg test just a few minutes ago.... I'm 4 days late, crampy, can't sleep, waves of nausea, just didn't feel normal. What does this look like to you???? Mind you, I could only faintly see it at first, and within the first 3 minutes it got like it is in the picture. (The box says it's invalid after 10 min., and it still looks the same now as it did when I took the picture.) What you think? Positive, negative? Should I wait and test again in the AM? What should I tell my DH???
PrairieMom replied: faint line = positive. um... congrats? I would re-test in the AM just for piece of mind, but... I'm gonna say
my2monkeyboys replied: Do you think I should mention anything to DH? I'm going to my folks house tonight... oh God! I don't know if I can keep from blabbing! But what if it's not truel? What if it's wrong?? AAAhhhhhh!!!!!
PrairieMom replied: I don't know how you do things in your hose, My Dh and I were in the whole thing together. He knew when we were TTC he was constantly exposed to me counting the days during that stupid 2 weeks of waiting, and he was there when I tested. Every time, so, if it was ME, I would tell, but it might be fun to surprise him too, then I would re-test in the AM and then tell him. I'm telling you tho, from my experience, faint line = positive. THAT is why I will only be doing digital testing from now on. Is this a good thing?
abunky replied: looks like a faint line ...congrats.....test again tomorrow morning and see
lovemy2 replied: I agree with Tara - on all points, up to you if you want to tell DH but I would get a digital test and re-test in the am and then again the next am and the next am and the next am and the next am Of course that is just me though -
Is it unusual for you to be late?
Congrats I hope
my2monkeyboys replied: Whew.... well, let's see... I am usually pretty on-time, I typically start spotting the day I'm due, with it getting heavier the next day or so. Today makes the 4th day I'm late. I am having some weird crampiness (which I never had early on with Will), so that makes me think some how the test is wrong. I should have just waited until the morning to test, but to be honest I thought it'd be a flat-out negative. Now that it's light it has me fretting. I'm afraid to tell everyone in case something isn't right, but I don't know that I can keep my mouth shut either.
ETA: I'd be thrilled, DH will probably puke for a couple of days!
youngmomofone replied: Go get a digital!!!!!!
my2monkeyboys replied: I think I may! It'd be much easier than this! Ah, the agony! So what do you think... keep my mouth shut at all costs or just hope for the best?
Calimama replied: Congratulations! I'd go get a digital to be sure then tell DH!
ZandersMama replied: Wow congrats! I'd tell hubby you are pregnant ! When I got pregnant with Zavier I took pictures of Zander holding a sign that said " I'm going to be a big brother" . Sent them to the one hour place and got about 50 copies made and gave/sent them to everyone.
bawoodsmall replied: Congrats!!! I hope you are. Test again and tell dh.
Crystalina replied: Shut Up!!! That looks like a positive to me!!!!!!
BTW, I had the "menstrual cramp" feeling the day I took my test. Guess what. It was a baby.
Mommy2BAK replied: umm.... I think a faint line equals positive. Good Luck!
DillsMommy replied: A line is a line, right? Even a faint line....That's positive! Congrats!! I'd tell hubby--I'd be telling everyone. Test again in the AM, I would think it would be even darker then.
sparkys2boys replied: Totally preggo!! I would tell dh!! KUP!
boyohboyohboy replied: stephanie! your pregnant!!! oh you should have some fun with this, why not find a really neat way to tell dh? they have some really neat digital tests now, why not splurge on one of those....
wcs40110 replied: Congrats and good luck!
my2monkeyboys replied: Well, I've managed to keep my mouth shut at my parents' house, even though my sister was there, too. My DH just got home from work and he seems really ready for bed, so I don't know if I'll tell him tonight and ruin his sleep or just wait until in the morning. I did get an EPT digital test tonight, so I may do it first thing in the AM and (if it's still showing positive) just leave it around so he'll find it. I'll know when he does bc I'll probably hear the bathroom door slam as he's on his way to throwing up! He has VERY sensitive nerves... whether it's good or bad, if something big happens he gets sick. Poor thing was in the bathroom most of the time I was birthing Will! I actually have thought just the same kind of idea with taking a picture of Will holding a "big brother" sign with my phone and sending it out to everyone. I may even do that with DH, though I'm not sure how since he'll be home tomorrow.... Oh lordy pete.... this is too much!
A&A'smommy replied: congratulations!!!!!
BTW I didn't have the crampy feeling with lissa but I did with Autumn and I spotted a little (I was freaking out on here )
boyohboyohboy replied: do you have any of will's tiny baby clothes? maybe set something out for easter dinner..oh I know how about another easter basket..an extra one!!!
my2monkeyboys replied: Well, at 5 this morning I had to pee really bad. So, I took the digital EPT while I was at it. I used the bathroom down the hall so I wouldn't wake DH up, but when I got back he was like, where did you go? Is something wrong? I just kept telling him I'm fine, nothing's wrong, go back to sleep. Well 20 min later he still wouldn't leave me alone so I finally got up and got the test. I turned on a little book light I have and showed him the test. He said, "it's positive? Right?" And so we talked a little, and he is all good and I think even a bit happy about it. He kept patting my belly, saying, "my little Waylon." (Of course, I came back with "Maybe your little Emily.") Not the most exciting way to tell him, but at least he isn't sick over it! I guess the next thing is to call my ob/gyn and see what kind of payment plan we can set up. Thanks ladies!!!!
PrairieMom replied: told you. Faint lines totally count.
gr33n3y3z replied: Congrats I'm so happy for you
sparkys2boys replied: Awwwww see.. we were right!! Congrats!!
3xsthefun replied: Congrats!!
TrulyBlessed replied: Congratulations!! My pregnancy test lines were so faint with all three of my kids. When I got pregnant with my oldest, I drove 20 minutes to my cousins house for her to look at the test because I couldn't tell! LOL!!!
my2monkeyboys replied: We're all beside ourselves over here! We've been telling everyone, of course. We aren't the type to keep it to ourselves just in case something happens. We figure it will happen or not, and either way we'll all enjoy it while it lasts. Our parents are all thrilled to no end, as are our friends. (Well, the ones that really care at all, anyway.)
~Roo'sMama~ replied: We're the same way. With all three of my pregnancies we told everyone right away. It's just too exciting for us to keep it to ourselves. And with the baby that I miscarried it was nice to have all the support - everyone knew what we were going through and was praying for us.
Congratulations!!
HuskerMom replied: Yay congrats!!
boyohboyohboy replied: oh you have your ticker up!!!!! so what did will say? come on stephanie show some excitment! just kidding, I can tell you are so excited! congrats!
moped replied: How wonderful - congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Faint line = Laila for me!
youngmomofone replied: Congrats girl, two positives definitely means preggo!
MoonMama replied: Awwww, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
