PrairieMom replied: Don't be crushed. (Although I am also a little dissapointed) wait till morning and use fresh pee and try again. Thats why they give you more than one.
since you don't track your cycles, you may have a longer cycle than 28 days, who knows? you may not even be late yet.
Question, after this are you going to start tracking your cycle?

But I KNOW...that I stopped my period the last week in December, I was sure it was the 24th! I"m never late!

Plus, I just KNEW I was pregnant! How could I be so wrong?

To answer you question, Tara, I used up my last PG test tonight. I took the other one a couple weeks ago.
So, I think I'm going to buy a First Response test, it reads 5 days before your missed period. So that should tell me for sure.

You and me both, very disappointed. My BOOBS HURT, MOOD SWINGS LIKE NO OTHER, TIRED, HEADACHES, SICK TO MY STOMACH....you name it....I have the symptoms! So, why?


I'll keep you posted. I just can't wrap my head around this right now.

Go get another test, and try again. I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

FWIW I took first response and equate and got "I think that's a line" with this pregnancy but the digital one showed up instant and definately positive.

Myprecioushearts replied: I'll cross my fingers for you. Like someone else mentioned, I thought for sure I was pregnant a month before I actually was. I had all the pregnancy signs and I took three tests and all were negative. I didn't get it....then a month later to my surprise.....You never know.

CosmetologyMommy replied: My friend Lisa was pregnant and everytime she took a test the first 3 months it came up negative, she had to go to the doctor for blood work. No one knows why it did that either. Sorry about the result.

If you are, then it really was not a one-time thing that you two were not careful back in December. I was thinking that it was an exception that happened, and on a normal basis you would be more careful as to not leave the door open to pregnancy. Make sense? ((I am trying to keep this clean as to not have to post in P&I. ))

In either case, I wish the two of you well. You seem excited, and if you two want another child, I hope for the best! If it is not meant to be now, then maybe soon the two of you will conceive soon.

Well, as you remember a couple weeks ago when I first thought I wss pg, and took a HPT, I didn't want to be pregnant. I was in shock, and didn't think I was ready. But since then, I have been doing a lot of thinking and now I'm ok with it, and was actually excited. DH really wanted me to be pregnant, which I didn't know about until recently. So, yes, now I wish I was pregnant. I know, you all think I'm crazy! But after the thought sunk in, and I knew I had the support from Justin, it became more real...and I saw it as a blessing. I know everything happens for a reason, and either way, when God wants me to have another child, it'll happen. We're not going to start "trying" after this, but we aren't going to use birth control. I figure it'll happen when it's suppossed to.

Well, still no AF this morning. I guess I will just wait a few more days, and see.

MomToMany replied: I was so sure I was PG this last cycle as well. I FELT like I was, and I was so nauseated, which was something completely new to me (never had MS with ANY of the kids). But lo & behold, AF shows up.

If you're 7 days late, the test should've been + if you were. So AF is probably on her way. But if you have any doubts, get a blood test done.

MamaJAM replied: Sorry you didn't get the results you wanted. I would say if things don't start for you in another week - test again...or just go right in for a bloodtest (that way you'll know for certain what's up).

~Roo'sMama~ replied: I'm sorry. I'm always disappointed if I think I'm pg and it turns out I'm not, no matter how bad the timing would be. I've also had that happen where I was positive I was and had every symptom but had it turn out negative. Maybe now that you know you'd like to be pg you can start trying!

Maddy'sMommy replied: I thought I was pregnant back in th middle of November, took a test and it was negative. It was unplanned so I was kinda relieved. After thanksgiving I still was late took another test and it was positive. It ended up a miscarriage but my point is to wait a few days and then try another test if you still are late. Chris & I were not trying to get PG, but we were not-not trying either. KWIM? Christian came along, (4) yrs later after we met, and I know it was all in GOD's ultimate plan. How else could that be explained.

MyLuvBugs replied: Don't worry about it. Stress can cause you to be late and stuff too, so just try to relax, wait a couple days, and then take another test using morning pee. If you still haven't started by the middle of next week though, you might want to go to the doctor.

I wanted to say thank you for the link, I read the chart, and I now know which test I'm going to by.
The test I used last night was one of the worst, as far as sensitivity. So that's good to know.

I know you said you don't track your cycle but are regular give or take a few days. Well since it's only been a few days give or take AF might still be coming. I know the mind can play horrible tricks on you when you really want to be pregnant. That's why men can have sympathetic pregnancy syndrome.

If it's been 6 days or so and you got a negative I don't think a super sensitive test would make a difference. All those tests are pretty accurate AFTER AF was supposed to arrive. The sensitivity issue comes into play if you test BEFORE AF is supposed to arrive

It was so hard for me to not go and buy another test yesterday. (Sunday). I thought I should wait. I woke up this morning, and still....NO AF.

I had a dream last night I was pregnant. And I was showing. It was a nice dream, I didn't want to wake up.

So I am going grocery shopping tonight, and I'm going to buy a digital test. I think I'm going to take it tomorrow morning. (Tuesday.)

Do digital tests come in a 2 pack??? And if it's still negative, and I still don't have my AF by the end of the week, I'm going to get a blood test done next week. Just to be sure.
