OK..I heard something today - and need your help! :)
paradisemommy wrote: I was told that as long as you have a child, you can determine the sex of your NEXT child by looking at their hairline at the base of their neck. if it goes straight across then your next one will be a boy and if you can see a tail (comes to a V) then the next one will be a girl.
my neighbor has 4 boys and a girl and this worked for her (all boys have only straight across except for the last boy who has an obvious tail and her next one was a girl).
worked out with dh too - he has a tail and he has a younger sister.
so can you guys give me the verdict of your kids??? or is this just another one of those myths??
(pretty interesting, huh!!!! )
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Oh wow. That is interesting. I will have to look at Jade's tom.
aspenblue1 replied: I have never heard of that. I will have to try it out and see.
Kirstenmumof3 replied: I'll have to check this out when the kids wake up.
MomToMany replied: Hmmm, never heard of that before! I'll have to check the boys when we get them back. Kayla doesn't have much of a hairline yet, so I can't tell. Hannah is still sleeping, though.
DansMom replied: I've never heard this theory! Hmm... will have to do some informal research!
kit_kats_mom replied: Well, if that's true then the bun is a boy. We shall see.
I remember hearing something about hairlines determining gender on another message board. but for some reason I thought it was the forehead hairline. Widow peak = girl (?) & Straight = boy (?) I could have that backwards though.
Boys r us replied: Hmm....well I hate to ruin the fun but Tanner has a "tail" on the back of his neck from his hair and Braedon obviously was a boy..
Kaitlin'smom replied: sounds interesting............but probably a myth... kinda like the lines on you hands are supposed to detrmine how may kids you will have and the gender
paradisemommy replied: well i figured as much but was just curious to see how accurate it was!!!
booey2 replied: Not so sure, but both my boys have tails, as do I.
Kaitlin'smom replied: and if it were true my sister would not be happy, she really wants a boy and I know her youngest is streight across.....she will be tring in a few months to concieve
kimberley replied: Jacob has a tail but my next baby was a boy. James has a tail and my next baby was a girl. Jade has a tail too so who knows what the next baby will be. seems like a myth to me.
coasterqueen replied: Hmmm never heard this one.
mama3x replied: Ok here's my verdict:
I have neither a straight or vee hairline. It's kinda like an upside-down vee.
DS has a straight hairline which means I should've had a boy next but had DD.
DD has the same hairline I do.
So what will I have next?????!!!!!
As for the forehead hairline...DS doesn't have the widow's peak but I had DD. DD doesn't have that either.
jen replied: I've never heard of that, but it is interesting! Maddy's is straight across so I guess if it is true the next will be a Boy!!!
