OH My - He scared the crap out of me!!!!!!

Mom2Boyz wrote: I went in the kitchen to make Conner some breakfast, and when I came back in the living room, he had managed to find a tiny piece of a plastic bag (probably from Wal Mart) and was getting ready to put in in his mouth!!!!! I dropped everything in my hands, and ran to him to get it, but before I got to him he had it in his mouth. I tried my hardest to get it out, but he swallowed it!!!!!! He started gagging, and I was bawling. I've NEVER been so scared in my life bawling.gif bawling.gif bawling.gif He wasn't really choking, just gagging, so I gave him some water to wash it the rest of the way down, and he seems fine now. I guess it just goes to show that no matter how many times you run the vaccumm, their still going to find something to put in their mouth.
I'm just thanking God that he didn't choke on it.

mummy2girls replied: OH MY that would be scarey!!!!!!! Kids just seem to find anything! They are so curious and i swear have no fear! Thank god he is ok(((HUGS)))) now all you need is a beer to relax wink.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied: ohmy.gif oh my how scary. glad he is okay

DansMom replied: That kind of stuff just makes your heart stop, doesn't it? Everyone has a story like that to tell---you do your best, but there's always opportunity for them to find trouble or something you missed.

amynicole21 replied: Yikes! That IS scary. I'm glad he is ok grouphug.gif

pinka_star replied: ohmy.gif OMG, How scary!!!!! I'm glad he's ok though.

I know what you mean about vacuuming so many times a day and they STILL manage to find something to put in their mouth. I don't know how many times I've almost had a heart attack because Emma put something in her mouth, just after I had vacuumed.

MommyToAshley replied: grouphug.gif That must have been REALLY SCAREY! I am glad he is ok, you can breathe now. grouphug.gif

Ashley was always good about finding the smallest thing... she could spot a piece of lint from across the room.

Josie83 replied: That would be so scary - I'm glad he's okay! xx

coasterqueen replied: ohmy.gif Oh no how scary!!! Glad he is ok. grouphug.gif

A&A'smommy replied: awwww poor mommy! ((((HUGS)))) that would have scared me too!

ediep replied: SCARY!!!!

Jason used to do that all of the time!!! He would spot a tiny piece of anything on the floor and try to eat it. Luckily, he grew out of that stage.

Kirstenmumof3 replied: ohmy.gif OMG how scary! It's amazing how fast they pick things up and put them in there mouth! I remember when Spencer was a baby, Emily loved those Kinder Surprise eggs. Well Spencer found the top of the plastic egg and put it in his mouth. He started choking, luckily I got it out! But it scared me half to death! I guess it doesn't matter how much we try to protect them, they will always find something! ohmy.gif

DixieDarlin replied: How scary! I remember when we lived in Boise when Jared was a baby. We went to eat at a restaurant in Idaho City and they gave you a little piece of watermelon with your lunch. Being a new mom, I was thinking about the stringy stuff in it. I was just thinking it was soft so I pinched off a little piece and stuck it in his mouth. He started choking and me and DH started freaking out! I grabbed him up and as soon as I did, the waitress came running over, took him from me and said, "I know child CPR!" A couple pats on the back and it came out. I couldn't thank her enough and we left her a very nice tip!
I'm glad she's ok! Things like that make your blood run cold!

momof2girls replied: YIKES Im glad he is ok the find everything in put in their mouths!!!
I know that had to be sooo scary!!! For both of you!!! sad.gif

loveydad replied: I've had kids choke so many times, and it never gets easier. The other day Nicky choked and threw up and I wasn't like, "ewww" i was like "oh god don't choke!" i was horrified. II felt so bad for him.

Mom2Boyz replied: Thanks guys!!!!
I went ahead and took him to the Dr. yesterday, just to make sure it wen't all the way down, and wasn't stuck in his throat or something. The dr. said his lungs were clear (thank God), and he could not see anything in his throat. He told me I'd probably find it in a couple of days emlaugh.gif

kimberley replied: how scary. i am glad everything is going to be ok. Jacob swallowed 2 coins when he was small and they took about a week to pass wacko.gif
