OH BOY I NEED A PERSONAL VENT PAGE - Help me LORD!

OK, so Tanner has come home 2 days from school and didn't go to school on Monday..Here is my big FAT VENT>>

He has not got off the bus at the daycare...BUT the daycare has not once called me and said Tanner didn't arrive. Can you believe that. I did it on purpose and she didn't CALL in 3 days NO Tanner and NO call.

I called her and said Tanner will be there today...if he isn't I expect a call ASAP! I am so mad! I am so freaking mad. Why can I not find someone decent to watch a 7 year old. I do not understand!!!! How hard it is to take head count and KNOW if he is there... She said well I figured you would call if he wasn't with you or you spouse. HELLO.....the bus gets there at 3:30 and I don't get there until 5:30 ..if he was truly missing someone could have already crossed the state line in that two hours...where it 2 hrs could mean life or death for a child.

Vent 2.

I am having Tanner some custom made Chaps for his birthday..which is Tommorrow! OK..the person who is making them, wont return my call or answer his phone. So, I have no idea if Tanner Bday present will be ready in time and I am in tears.

I agree that the lady should have called from the daycare. I would contact someone about this. "if he was not with you, you would call"..????? How would you know if he was supposed to be there??? That excuse doesn't even make sense.... you wouldn't know until you picked him up!

As for your sitter, I cannot for the life of me understand why if for no other reason, she wouldn't want to PROTECT herself from liabilty by making sure he was with you and not supposed to be in her care!!! how completely reckless!

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Oh I agree they should have called. I have a friend who used to have her son go to the youth center on base after school. In order for a child to go there they require at least 2 other contact people besides the child's parent if something ever happened. About 2 months ago she decided to let him go home with the parent of some other boys in the courtyard. This woman basically watches him until my friend gets home from work. I guess they were missinformed at the youth center and I got a call. I was in a panic until I saw the boy out front playing. All day cares should infrom the parent if the child is missing if they haven't gotten a call otherwise. I would have been livid as well.

As for the chaps. I really do hope you get those in time.
