OB Checkup today
kit_kats_mom wrote: Well, apparently I've been perfectly lazy since thanksgiving. I've been taking it as easy as possible because if I stand or walk for more than about 10 minutes I start having contractions but they always let up after I sit down for a bit. I'm still only dialated 1cm but the doc felt my one of the contractions externally and said "whenever you want to have this baby, you probably just need to go for a nice long walk. Those are definately real contractions and pretty strong ones too". She also felt the head so miss Lauren is nice and low. So, now I need to decide if I want to take K to the mall on Saturday to see Santa or not...hmmmm are we ready for a baby? I think not LOL
DansMom replied: Cary, I'm getting so excited for you!! It's going to happen soon
coasterqueen replied: OMG! How exciting!!!!! I can't wait to hear your birth story and see pictures of sweet Lauren.
BTW, I saw your post about your cleaning lady but work has been CRAZY..didn't have time to post but wanted to say...that is SO weird. So now every time she comes to clean you are going to think of me, lol. You know what's even more weird? My MIL's name is Karen Nation.....well it was Nation..but she remarried a few years back. We even have the same initials KLN. Her middle name is Lorraine, mine is Lynn. So spooky! I asked Dh how he could marry someone with the same name as his mom.
MommyToAshley replied: WOW! How exciting!
I probably would have went for a long walk after that comment, I was soooo ready to have Ashley by the end of my PG. But, it seems like your PG just flew by, probably because I wasn't the one PG. LOL!
I will be thinking of you all weekend, wondering if you are in labor. You have to promise to update us if you leave for the hospital.
paradisemommy replied: woo hoo..how exciting!!! cary - you just crack me up...
ediep replied: yay!!! Sooooo soon!!!! How exciting!!! I can't wait to see her pic and read your birth story! ~~~~~EASY LABOR VIBES~~~~~~
jcc64 replied: When my ob felt Corey's head at my last checkup, that was all I needed to hear. I went home, had sex, and had her later that night. Can't wait to hear the war stories, Cary. Keep us posted. I don't normally hang around much here on the w/e's, but I will be checking in periodically until Lauren decides to make an appearance.
kit_kats_mom replied: bwahhhhahahahahaha! Had sex? You must be joking right? At this point, I believe it would be logistically impossible to do the deed.
Really, I'm in no hurry. I'm guessing I will be able to take it easy for a bit longer, try to catch up on some much needed z's this weekend and then perhaps start trying walks in the evenings.
I'm really still not ready at all. I want to meet her, and I'm terribly uncomfortable, but I also am really enjoying the fact that I have been able to sleep though the night for the last month or so....I'm really going to miss that.
jcc64 replied: No kidding about the sleep thing, Cary. Leave her in there, I say! The sex was totally comical- we laughed our way through it. It was something akin to a chihuahua trying to mount a rottweiller. But I swear, with all 3 kids, it worked like a charm. So if you're not ready, cut him off (which clearly sounds like it's already been the case for awhile )
A&A'smommy replied: Take it easy hun (well as much as possible with a 2year old). Easy labor vibes if she decides to come, and stay until mom is ready vibes LOL
maestra replied: I know what you mean! I am not even ready yet!! They haven't checked to see if I'm dilated yet, that starts next week for me. But unlike last pregnancy, I haven't had hardly any braxton hicks or anything! I think I'm in for the long haul.....
So here's some stay put baby vibes (until you feel ready anyway! ) I can't wait to hear your story!
Josie83 replied: Wow, that's so exciting . . . its not going to long until she's here! And Jeanna, your story is hilairous "went home, had sex, had a baby" . . . so matter of fact! And a chihuahua mounting a rottweiler - that is so funny! xx
