amynicole21 replied: I only used a nursing bra - I thought they were indispensible. The clothes I could do without. It was just as easy to lift up my shirt than to un-do little buttons and snaps all over the place
Jamison'smama replied: I bought some with my last pregnancy but I thought they were more revealing than my regular clothes--and to me they just shouted "I'm a nursing mom". I did like the nursing tank tops that I wore under clothes/cardigan sweaters. They were nice to sleep in also--I saw them in Motherhood and they are nicer this time around than they were when I had Jamison. I did buy SEVERAL nursing bras this time---last time I had 3 and had to wash daily--this time I bough 4 more and it is worth it--Just make sure you buy them big enough so they still fit when your milk comes in--I made that mistake last time.
MomToMany replied: I couldn't (and can't) afford nursing clothes, so I just wear my regular clothes. Nursing BRAS on the other hand, they are a necessity!!! Since I'm so HUGE, mine are about $40 a piece!! Needless to say, I don't get new ones very often.
coasterqueen replied: I bought a nursing nightgown to take to the hospital with me before having Kylie. I wore it for about 10 minutes! That thing was just showing my (o)(o)'s to everyone, it was ridiculous!
I do buy nursing bras for sure! A must. I also splurged on a Glamourmom nursing tank top this time around. It hasn't arrive yet, but I noticed at Motherhood over the weekend that they have some just like them, but cheaper. I may invest in the tanks just because I can wear them at night, etc. Otherwise nursing clothes are a waste of money to me.
maestra replied: I like my nursing pjs for wearing around the house. Otherwise, I just use nursing bras.
Kaitlin'smom replied: just nursing bras here, I thougth the clothes were not that great looking and not worth the money. My reg clothes were just as easy. I wore a lot of tanks with something over them, it was the easiest for me
kimberley replied: just nursing bras here too. most nursing tops are ugly or weird looking and EXPENSIVE! get a few good nursing bras and wear normal clothes. like Di, i also wear a lot of tank tops with a top over it.
Kila replied: Looks like I'm with everyone else! I just have nursing bras. They are just so convenient. I never really thought about lookign into nursing clothes because pullign up your shirt is easy enough for me. I would suggest investing in some of the tank tops to wear to bed.
booey2 replied: Hi, I did buy any nursing clothes but I did buy bras the second time around with Thomas and I am a plus size lady. I just wish I had found this site:
Convert your own bra to a nursing one...
before I went out and spent close to $100.00 for 2 bras and extensions for them because they didn't carry my exact size. As it turns out I had no milk come in due to my hypothyroidism and I didn't reach out as much as I should have for help in correcting it. If we have a 3rd, that is a big IF, I will definitely look futher into increasing my supply and reach out for more help if the milk doesn't come.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: LOL! I feel the same way about the pajamas. I couldn't get used to my bb's hanging out! A little too windy for me.
mckayleesmom replied: I bought a couple nursing tanks,,,a nursing bra...nursing jammies....and a couple of those flannel looking blouses with the built in nursing tanks....spent about 100 dollars all together.
A&A'smommy replied: Well it depends on what you get and if you are actually going to use it, I bought a nursing bra and a nursing nightgown (which I still have) I loved them when I actually used them I only got to nurse alyssa a few times but they were very helpful when I actually used them.
gr33n3y3z replied: they are a waste of money Nursing bras are almost a must
catou_98 replied: I'm looking into buying a nursing bra right now and my (O)(O) are HUGE I'd say once my milk comes in I'm probably gonna need a size G/H .....what kind do you have, do you like it and if so would you recommended.......if you feel this is too personal and don't want to respond I totally understand!
TIA
MomToMany replied: Not too personal at all! This is the style I have. It is comfortable, but not the best support-wise. I haven't found one yet that gives me the support I need. There are lots of styles/types at this website. I'm going to try a different kind soon. Mine are getting so worn out. I have only 3 in my rotation.
A comfy one I have is the Bravado nursing bra. It feels like I'm not wearing anything at all! One thing though, it squishes your BB's together, so you kinda get the uniboob look, but not too bad.
Just remember to get soft cups. Underwires can cause plugged ducts. If I find one I really like, I'll let you know!
HTH!
3_call_me_mama replied: Guess i'm the odd one out on this... i wear a nursing shirt almost everyday. I have several that i got as gifts and some that i have purchased off ebay and some new. I LOVE them, mostly because it allows me to keep my back and sides covered while walking and nursing if needed. I am not one for sweaters and cardigans so the nursing tanks underneath didn't work for me. But it's more a personal preference, than anything else...
kit_kats_mom replied: I have a ton of nursing bras and I bought one top when I had K thinking that it would be easier to nurse more discretely in public...didn't work. It fell apart within 1 wash. I just stick to looser tops that I can pull up.
FYI, target is now carrying nursing bras and tanks in thier undies section. I got 3 bras from there and one tank.
coasterqueen replied: They've actually been carrying those for a long time because I wore Target nursing bras all throughout nursing Kylie. They are AWESOME and cheap .
