coasterqueen replied: Oh gosh they are all cute! Except I'm not a big Pooh fan, lol, so I wouldn't pick that one.
Have you tried ebay? I bought a in excellent condition bedding set for this little one on the way and paid 1/2 of what I'd pay for it brand new! It was a great deal and considering how long they really use it it was worth it to spend 1/2 than the full amount .
akbutterfly83 replied: here are some other ones.....

akbutterfly83 replied: here is one my dh just found to add to it all..... and a crib......

akbutterfly83 replied: No I haven't checked Ebay.... thanks for the tip... I have to check it out.....
texasp3 replied: I like the very first one in the first set (sport theme) and I like the one with the red car and the other sports theme (second set) the best. I'll admit, I'm not much into teddy bears and stuff like that. I also like to think about what will last the longest in terms of the decor growing up with the baby.
I have this GREAT idea for Gabriel's room. Can you believe, he's nearly a year old and he's still sleeping in what I refer to as "the off white box."
See, I ended up on bedrest when I thought I'd be doing his bedroom. Then c-section, then lots of complications, then this that and the other thing... before you knew it, DH was moving to Portland for this great job and now I have my hands full without a lot of free time. Poor baby STILL doesn't have his room decorated!
Anyway... a couple of ideas I like, that aren't expensive. Look at your local craft stores for stamps that go with the theme and then just get a quart of paint that picks out one of the darker colors of your crib set. Stamp a border instead of buying an expensive wall-paper one. If you're worried about a straight line... make it wave-y on purpose! Or put smaller stamps around light switches... whatever you like. Cars, trucks and sports stuff is especially easy to find.
And an idea I picked up here from other parents... look for an inexpensive children's book with nice illustrations that compliment your room theme and cut out a few pages and frame them. Hang these around for that "decorator" look.
I found VERY CHEAP individual wooden letters at WalMart and I bought them to spell out Gabriel, and I'm painting them myself. I also found a shelf with pegs underneath on sale at Michael's (home decore/craft/art store) for $10 and I'm painting that as well and will put it up on one of his walls one of these days.
DH taught me a trick about how to make these cheap wooden decor items look nicer when you paint them yourself. Buy a can of spray paint wood primer. Sand out the rougher spots and then just put a couple of layers of primer on (let dry in between) ... it gives the wood a nice smooth finish without spending hours and hours sanding with steel wool between coats of paint!!
texasp3 replied: Oooo... you just posted more! I really really like the two that come right after the Looney Tunes set. One is airplanes (I think my favorite so far) and one has a puppy (I think) on it.
akbutterfly83 replied: thanks for the ideas...... i will look in to that.......
A&A'smommy replied: LOL I'm not good at that stuff so I wouldn't have any advice but I love the more classic looking ones with the bears and I like the one with the planes. I would love to see what you guys decide to go with!
3boys4me replied: I love the airplane one and the cowboy/bandana one. I am not a big cartoon character fan. I would go with something he can grow with. Nothing too baby. The sport one is cute too.
iluvmysweetiepies replied: I love the first sports theme one and the 2nd airplane one (with the blues and greens) best. The puppy one under the airplane one is cute too.
akbutterfly83 replied: Here is another one i just found... what do you all think...

loveydad replied: This post seems really familar. Really, really familar.

JessC replied: I also like the airplane one and the car one in the first post!! VERY cute... Not a big pooh fan either! He is way over done.
akbutterfly83 replied: yes it does... but for a boy... LOL
Boys r us replied: I like the fishing one the best, it's different!! But second vote goes to the airplanes!
