Nora's at daycare

amynicole21 wrote: I just had to walk out of a building without my baby, and I think my heart is going to break. I don't know these people taking care of her at all, DH drops Sophia off at daycare every day. I have no idea if they will do a good job of taking care of her or not. I have to trust that they will, but I have no confidence right now. bawling.gif

I'm going to pick her up early today, I just hope I can hold out for a few hours before panicking and driving over there to get her! It didn't help that Sophia freaked out and cried for me as I was leaving, too. sad.gif

booey2 replied: Hang in there Amy, the first couple of hours are the hardest and by the time you turn around it will be time go and get them. Hugs and calming vibes coming your way. grouphug.gif

Sunflower04 replied: grouphug.gif Here's to the day going fast so you can see your baby.

Kaitlin'smom replied: awwww I feel for you. Hang in there

amynicole21 replied: I just called to check on her and she had almost finished her first 2oz of breastmilk... from a spoon!! They couldn't get her to take the bottle, but she's sucking it right off the spoon. This child wants to eat like a big girl tongue.gif I feel better that at least she's getting some milk in her... one less thing to worry about rolleyes.gif

mckayleesmom replied: She will be fine....Im sure she will take the bottle from them once she gets use to them.

booey2 replied:
Glad to hear that she is taking something, maybe you should send a small medicine cup so they could try that instead of the spoon next time. I am sure she will take the bottle once she realizes she can get more from it than the spoon. Hang in there.

MommyToAshley replied: Aweee, here's some hugs for you grouphug.gif

At least the daycare worker had the patience to feed her by spoon, that's a good sign, right? Hang in there, I am sure she will be fine. Let us know how it goes when you go to pick her up.

ediep replied: awww, hang in there!! I am sure that must be soooo hard!! Glad they had the patience to feed her by spoon, hopefully, she'll take the bottle from them soon

mammag replied: I agree that is a great sign that they were willing to feed her with the spoon!

Hang in there...you'll make it and she will be okay!

A&A'smommy replied: (((((((BIG HUGS))))))) and that is wonderful that they are working with her!!

coasterqueen replied:
Ahh well that's good news!

I wish Megan would do that. bawling.gif Terri tried a bit ago to get her to take it from a tiny cup and a dropper and Megan wouldn't do it. bawling.gif

3_call_me_mama replied: Hugs to you! Your baby girl will be so eager to see you when you pick her up, and the day may have been long for you both, but sounds like her caregivers are very patient with her:) a VEYR GOOD SIGN. Hoep you days go easier.

Josie83 replied: grouphug.gif grouphug.gif Amy. I'm sure it will get easuer the more you do it . . . but then that's easy for me to say blush.gif I'm glad that Nora's feeding even if it is off a spoon! laugh.gif grouphug.gif to Sophia too sad.gif xx

DansMom replied:
I feel for you, Amy! I had a hard time leaving Daniel with DH, but I imagine leaving your tiny baby with people you don't know is so much harder. Obviously they are trained and prepared, though, and came up with a good solution for feeding her (for example). It will get easier---the first week is the hardest.

maestra replied: grouphug.gif Giselle had finally just taken a bottle for the first few times before I went back to work.

I hope your day is over soon!

amynicole21 replied: Thanks for the support everybody smile.gif It helped me get through this VERY long day rolleyes.gif

She ended up taking 4oz by spoon, and the last 2oz by bottle! When I walked in to pick her up she was sucking away on the bottle like a pro - it was a beautiful sight to behold wub.gif I don't feel nearly so apprehensive about leaving her there now. thumb.gif

ediep replied:
OH thats great AMY!!!!
I guess he decided to give in!!! WTG Nora!!!

coasterqueen replied:
Ahh that's good they she finally took a bottle.

Can Nora come teach Megan how to do it? sad.gif

A&A'smommy replied: awww that is great Amy!! (((HUGS)))

kayla's mama replied: awww that great! I'm sure that it will get easier as the days go. I'm dreading the day when I have to leave my baby.

Emeraldsmom replied: grouphug.gif Hang in there. It will get better.

jdkjd replied: I'm so glad it went well...that first day is a doozy! And the daycare seems to be very caring to try to give her the milk by spoon, it sounds like they've dealt with stubborn little ones before. wub.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Wow! thumb.gif That's great that she took the bottle, that's got to be a relief.

Karen, I hope Megan gives in and takes the bottle for you. Hang in there, it's got to get better. :grouphugl.
