No Sew Fleece Blanket
Maddie&EthansMom wrote: Have any of you made these? I am about to make one and I will let you know how it turns out. It was going to be a surprise for Maddie for Christmas and the stinker found the fleece I was going to use. I may give it to her early. It is so soft. It has Hello Kitty on it and that will be one side. The other side will be solid pink. I will take a picture when I finish. It makes a huge blanket and it is so warm. Remember, it is NO SEW!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: No Sew Fleece Blanket
This is the link. I used 1.5 yards for each side (instead of 2 yds) since it is for Maddie.
Kaitlin'smom replied: okay took me a minute but I get it how easy! I might make a couple for christmas!
thanks for the link!
amynicole21 replied: That looks great!! I still don't really understand the directions, though I'm a little slow
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I didn't really understand them either, but it all makes sense once you lay the fabric out and start making it.
It turned out really cute and took less than an hour. Maddie loves it. They are so comfy and soft. Now I want to make a larger one for me!
ediep replied: that blanket looks adorable, but I don't get how to make it
Maddie&EthansMom replied: All I did was get 1.5 yards of fleece cut for each side (totaling 3 yds). I layed them out on the floor on top of each other and cut to make them even on all 4 sides. I cut 7" rectangles off of each corner and cut 7" strips 1" apart (I made a pattern from a piece of cardboard so the strips would go faster). So they are seven inches long and one inch thick strips. You tie the front and back strips together to make a knot. It is pretty easy and very fast. They really turn out cute. Our JoAnn's has the cutest fleece I have ever seen.
HTH! You should try it...let me know if you have ???'s.
MommyToAshley replied: OK, I *think* I get it. Basically you are place the two pieces on top of each other and tie the fringes together. I get cutting the strips to make the fringe, but why do you cut a rectangle out of the corner? Do you cut the rectangle in a diagonal?
ediep replied: ok, I get it now!!! The rectangles at the corners are so that the fringe meets! Sounds easy!!! I may try
Maddie&EthansMom replied:
Exactly! I didn't understand that at first, either until I actually layed it out and started cutting the strips. It all works out perfectly! Very cute.
Linda replied: Sounds cool, and looks easy to make too!
Thanks for the link.
