Nintendo Wii

my2monkeyboys wrote: Why, why, why can't I find one!?!?!
That's supposed to be Will's santa gift, and of course I still can't find one (unless I want to pay $450 off ebay)!
Does anyone know of a place I haven't thought of yet?
I've tried all the local GameStops/EB Games, Targets, KMarts, Walmarts, Toys'R'Us and Best Buy.
Any ideas, please???

TheOaf66 replied: try craigslist

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Having the same problem. After telling DH that people were laughing he wanted to old Gamecube, I told him why not get the Wii. So now I am on the search too! I just went to Walmart this morning and the guy said that they get about 20 in daily, but they sell out in less than an hour. He said the best time to call is 7am or so (our's is a 24 hour Walmart) and get in FAST! I called Sam's Club too and they are completely out, no more shipments before Xmas. I'm going to try Sharper Image and Best Buy as well. GL

Calimama replied: You have to go EARLY when the shipment first comes in to like Walmart, Gamestop.. etc.

flirtycuddle replied: I got mine off Craigslist in the box never opened for like $300 off craigslist but everywhere is sold out and not expecting more here

boyohboyohboy replied: there are tons on craigslist however they are people that are buying them up and then selling them for way more! its really making me mad, and i didnt even want one!
i dont think people should be able to do that!

stella6979 replied: Maybe Circuit City or CompUSA? I actually found Guitar Hero for the Wii on the Circuit City site last night but I won't have the money for it til next week. I sure do hope they still have it then. sad.gif

kimmylyn replied: My friend works in Target and says that they get deliveries of the Wii every Sunday, Monday and Wednesday nights during Christmas. Maybe you could get their early before the store opens?

It is not worth paying the high prices on Ebay.

Good luck!

boyohboyohboy replied: i also heard a man at toys r us asking when the delivery is coming in , maybe call the stores and ask if there are more coming..

Cece00 replied: We had to search for one for like 2 weeks. I'd call first thing when they open & ask if they have any...that is what I did. An EB games here in the city had 3 of them and I drove like a maniac over there to get one, luckily they were still there, they had JUST gotten them in & they were gone a couple of hrs later.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Walmart's can shop around other Walmart's. What I mean is, if you ask the service counter to call other Walmart's they will do it for you and the other store can have it shipped to that store. They don't advertise it, but they have to do it if a customer asks. Same with Target. Have you tried any of the stores online?

kimmylyn replied: I just found this site:

http://www.wiiwatchlist.com

?? Maybe it can help?

jcc64 replied: Forget online.
As others have said, Target, Toys R Us, and maybe Walmart all get regular but small shipments, usually on Sunday. I would recommend getting to one before it opens (some organize lines and give out numbers). It's crazy that this is happening for the 2nd yr in a row with this game system. Apparently, in true capitalist style, the toy equivalent of ticket scalpers are swooping in, buying as many as they are allowed, and selling them exorbitantly on ebay. Really pisses me off. Merry Christmas!

Jamison'smama replied: My SIL just talked with the Target in her area (Dallas) and they told her that they don't come in with the regular shipments (at her store at least) that they come by Fed Ex on any day and they are stocked at night when the store is closed. They told her to go at 8 am everyday.

They also told her not to call, that the operators are told to say no to anyone inquiring about them.

Jamison'smama replied: Hey all!!! My sis just got an Amazon Wii alert---they are on their sight right now!!!

Within the two min I was looking--they are all gone. THey have a site where you can do a Wii alert and it will email you if any become available online---that's how she got one just a few minutes ago.

my2monkeyboys replied: After talking to the ToysRUs folks again I've found out that they are expecting a shipment on the 16th, but he couldn't say when (if they'll come in the night before or late that afternoon, etc.) or how many there would be. I guess I'll have to call both mornings and be ready to rush over there.
If this doesn't work I give up... I can't and won't pay more than the normal cost for one.
And it pi$$e$ me off that Nintendo hasn't stepped up on production of this thing in 2 years!
Thanks for the help!

MommyToAshley replied: We've had ours since it first came out... DH got up at 3a.m. to go wait in line to get it. I think it's ridiculous that they can't (or won't) match the production to the demand. Maybe it's good marketing, but it seems to me that they'd sell more if they had more available.

Anyways, ditto what everyone else says -- get up earlier than the store opens. I wouldn't call, they probably aren't going to tell you when they are getting them, and by the time you get there... they'd be gone.

Anthony275 replied:
they have, it's just a hot item

psst, try fye for these things wink.gif

jem0622 replied: We would really like one, but I told DH that I won't buy one of the insane bundles, nor will I buy it for more than it sells in the store. For-get-it! LOL

When they are in good supply, then we'll take the plunge.
