salmndr007 wrote: Ok,

I was just wondering what everyone thinks about this. Jess and I are going by the tradational anniversary gift chart.....ie first year = paper.....I have no ideas whatsoever! Anyone have some help?

salmndr007 replied: here is what I was thinking....getting a newspaper from the day we were married, cutting out parts of it and making a wedding picture frame....i dunno, just a thought...anyone else have any ideas?

C&K*s Mommie replied: Funny she was asking this too the other day! laugh.gif

ETA: Good idea! (I may have to steal that, even though my DH & I are past the one yr anniv)

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Books are paper. At least I consider them paper. But I LOVE the idea of the newspaper from your wedding day and collaging it.

salmndr007 replied: awww horse manure! I didn't even think to look on here to see if she was posting anything about it...I didn't even know she had been back on here....sneaky sneaky.....hmmm

kit_kats_mom replied: Paper hmmm. I can't recall what we did but here are my ideas off of the top of my head. I love your idea though.

-tickets to a show
-a special book
-magazine subscription
-personalized stationary
-cash rolling_smile.gif (I'm such a romatic...NOT)
-Some of your families & her families favorite/traditional recipes written up and either put in a book or in a nice recipe box, you guys will find your own specialties over the comoing years and you can pass it down when your kids move out on their own.

amymom replied:
Very Creative. I like the idea of sticking with the tradional.

Some ideas:
Nice writing paper, or a journal, or books to read. Photo paper for the computer printer. A magazine she would like.

That's my ideas.

Happy Anniversary!!!

salmndr007 replied: Great Ideas Guys!!!

Ok, I think I am either going to do some personalized note pads or the picture frame

Sweet!

Calimama replied: I like the newspaper idea. I hope she doesnt see this though. wink.gif

Cece00 replied: Why dont you buy some really pretty paper and write her a really sweet letter about how great your first year has been, how much you appreciate her, etc. Or print out a really great poem for her on the paper.

gr33n3y3z replied: it seems like you have a ton of ideas to choose from
and very good ideas along with your own idea is good also.

CantWait replied: Don't know if it's to late, but pictures are paper.

Walmart has this neat little photo album that you do online, the pictures are put into the paper as if an illustration in a book, but it's the pictures you choose, and not illustrated. Does that make sense?

paradisemommy replied: well, don't know how much you want to spend but my first thought was to find a favorite pic of you two and have an artist draw it and make it into a big picture to frame on your wall..

Boo&BugsMom replied: Kind of going off of what Crystal said...find a nice poem that symbolizes your marriage (or write one if you would like) and print it off on fancy paper and have it framed. I bet she'll love it! smile.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
I LOVE this idea!! thumb.gif thumb.gif

hawkshoe replied: One of my favorite gifts my dh gave me for our anniversary was the words to our wedding song printed and framed. That would qualify as paper, right? smile.gif
