Need some prayers for my mother

I looked on ebay last night, looked on the internet and exhausted all my options...I couldn't find anything they could afford right now. I told mom to tell the kids to bring their lunch for a couple of months until she had the money to get the kitchen she needed. She doesn't want to do that. She's afraid she will lose her kids. I understand that fear. Scotty got home and I was talking to him about it. I said "Do you know anyone who sells restaurant supplies?" I kind of chuckled and he said "Yeah, Ann and Hayden are in the restaurant supply business." duh. Ann is his cousin. I totally forgot they did this for a living. He is going to speak with them today and see what they can do. Of course we'd have to go pick it up and they live in Mississippi.

Please cross fingers or pray that this happens for my parents. Thanks

do you guys not have a demo depot or something like that? you can find restaurants going out of business and buy their supplies for next to nothing. hotels too with furniture etc. what about some fund raising? it is so easy to do with kids with a few volunteers. auction off their art, have a bake sale, hold a concert/pageant etc etc. it may not pay for it all but every penny helps

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Kimberley they have auctions for the hotels and things and you have to be 'in the know' around here. They are kind of hush hush. It's not as easy as it used to be.

Someone mentioned a fundraiser to my mother...we were wondering if it was legal?







Monica does your neighbor deal in new and used restaurant supplies? I wonder what kind of deal we could get.

MommyToAshley replied: I was going to suggest the auctions as well. I see them in the paper around here all the time. Restaurants seem to go out of business quite often for some reason?

I hope you help her find a solution. Good for you for helping her not give up on her dream. This snag may be frustrating right now, but when it all works out, it will be so worth it! Hang in there. Lots of prayers and finger crossing coming your way!

amymom replied: Many prayers being said. Also look into grants. There are many grants available for daycare centers. I do not know how to go about getting them, but once interviewed someone who was a grant writer.
