Need some ideas

PrairieMom wrote: Every year I take a pic of The Boy in my DH's old dress shirt for a special photo album that I am making for him.
This is this year and last year. ( I don't have his one year pic on my computer any more)
I want to do the same thing for Ally, but I don't know what to put her in. I would like for her to be in something of mine, but I am drawing a blank Anyone have an idea?

Kaitlin'smom replied: do you have a favorite dress, swetter, top?

how about your wedding veil........

holley79 replied: Wht an awesome idea. What about a favorite sun dress or something girlie?

CantWait replied:
I love this idea wub.gif wub.gif

Very cute Tara.

luvmykids replied: Thats such an awesome idea! I take one of their feet every year on their birthday laugh.gif It's the front page of each section of their scrapbooks but I like your idea better!

What about a favorite pair of shoes or jacket?

mommyofpremitwins replied: I love the wedding veil idea. So cute. love2.gif

PrairieMom replied: oohhh. my veil! thats a good idea. I was thinking about something to do with my wedding dress, but it would really be to much of a hassle, and I don't really want it wrecked, dragging it out once a year, it wouldb e bound to get damaged, but I never thought about just doing the veil.

Thanks! thumb.gif

I have been putting the pics in their very own scrap book, with 2 pages for each year. One page has a 5x7 of the pic, and the next page has a list of questions. I use the same questions every year.

My Name is:
I am years old

My favorite food is:

My favorite color is:

My favorite toy is:

My favorite game is:

My favorite memory of this year was:

Next year I would like to:

Extras:

so far I have filled out the page for Ben, but when he is able to write he will do it himself. I plan on doing it every year until he turns 18.

holley79 replied:
That is really awesome. I think I am giong to totally still that idea from you if you don't mind. wink.gif

PrairieMom replied: go for it! thumb.gif I stole it from some one too. i think it was some one on Oprah, maybe talking about legacy's and children or something like that.

Our Lil' Family replied: I am completely in love with this idea!!!!!!!! I will start now (18 mo.) and do it every year....what a wonderful thing to have!!!!!!!! I'm almost in tears I love it so much!!

PrairieMom replied: I'm glad I could inspire you!

The real trick is convincing them to do it when they are teen agers. rolleyes.gif laugh.gif

siblingtooolivia replied: What happens when The Boy is bigger than DHs shirt when he is 15 rolling_smile.gif

Love the idea and the veil part is perfect if you ask me.......

PrairieMom replied:
Then He will have to squish into it. He will look like Chris Farley when he is doing his "fat man in a little coat" bit. laugh.gif i don't think that will happen tho, the shirt is pretty big, even for DH, and we aren't big people in general.

kimberley replied: wub.gif that is a very cute idea. i would probably put her in the wedding dress too happy.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I just saw this in my Parents magazine. A mom put her swimsuit on her daughter. Her daughter is now 16 and fits into it...so cute! I also read that someone put their wedding dress on their daughter. Great idea! I have yet to put photos of the boys in their albums... laugh.gif

PrairieMom replied: The day that girl fits into my wedding dress will probably kill me. laugh.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Tara that is such a wonderful idea and those are the cutest pics I've ever seen. What a HANDSOME little man!!!! wub.gif

I'm also going to steal this idea from you. Do you think it's too late to start doing this with Maddie?? Honestly.

PrairieMom replied:
no, not at all. If its something you want to do then having some years done would be better than noe at all KWIM? thumb.gif
