Need some ideas
TeagansMom609 wrote: I have soooooooooooooo much of Teagan's old clothes that I want to get rid of. Half of the stuff she never even wore. I attempted to put some of her 0-3 month stuff on ebay but it was such a pain in the butt to take the pics, and describe every little piece of clothing so i gave up. I have so much stuff, I cant even imagine having to describe it all on ebay. I cant really have a yard sale because I dont live in a yard sale kinda neighborhood. Anyone have any ideas???
coasterqueen replied: I think you asked about this before during the hurricane time. You can send them to those in need if you are willing. Otherwise I'd suggest taking them to your local consignment shop.
HTH!
luvbug00 replied: Goodwill / salvation army? ummm newspaper sale? the high school arround here the lady who works with the pregnant teens would take it. or the local homeless shelter? where you looking to profit because the newspaper thing I think may be the best bet. sorry I'm in a chatty mood tonight..
ions_momma replied: Either a goodwill store or if you have any resale shops maybe try taking them there?
b&bsmom replied: I agree about the consignment shop. I know there is one by me that gives you money up front so it is not really consigning they kinda buy it from you. If you are up to giving it away you can always check with your local church. They always need clothes in womens shelters and families in need. Let us know what you decide.
TeagansMom609 replied: Yes im looking to make a few bucks off of it, thats why I havent donated any of her clothes. I cant imagine just giving away hundreds of dollars in clothes away when im almost just as broke as the people shopping at the Salvation Army.
coasterqueen replied: Hey now, I shop at the Salvation Army and Goodwill.
holley79 replied: Do you have any friends that do live in a yard saley (is this a word. lol) kind of area? A few friends of mine and I usually get together at one house and have one. Or else a local flea market. Stuff like that. Can't blame you on the few bucks thing.
Boys r us replied: We have a place here called One Upon a Child, they buy all kinds of used baby stuff..clothes, high chairs, cribs.
Try to find somewhere like that!
but have you ever thought of hanging on to it? Just in case little man comes out not a boy? This just happened to my cousin!
owensmomma replied: Do they have some type of garage sale forum here where you'd be able to sell the clothes?
Otherwise, you can find a consignment shop in your area that will give you money for your gently used/ new clothes.
HTH!
kimberley replied: lol me too! and value village! i have gotten tons of nearly new condition designer clothes for like $3each! kids outgrow stuff before they wear them out often.
check for consignment shops in your area. you won't get a ton of money but at least you will get something. otherwise, do you have a "buy and sell" type paper there? we have one here that is free to advertise. also, check local mom websites. a lot of them have a "for sale" section. good luck.
My2Beauties replied: We have Once Upon a Child here too and they always have nice stuff, I shop there a ot for clothes and stuff, even got Hanna's Halloween Costume there. But they pay for your clothes like Nichole said!
TeagansMom609 replied: We do have a place called "The Childrens Attic" that buys clothing but everytime I go in there the woman has sky high piles of clothes she just got in, and says she cant take anymore at the moment. I guess I will just end up putting an ad in the paper or something.
six_kids_at_28 replied: Donate! Once Upon a Child, Salvation Army and Goodwill. They are the best since you are donating your clothes not selling them.
