Need some Musical help.....
MyLuvBugs wrote: Ok. We're shooting a wedding for a friend here in three weeks, and we want to create a wedding album on DVD for her. SO, DH and I were talking today about ideas, and he tells me that I have to pick out the music first, and he'll start putting it all together. So, now....I'm racking my brain for wedding/love song music, and I thought you all could help.
What is your "song"? or What was the song you and your SO danced your first dance too?
(Also, if you know the name of the artist, that will help greatly. Thanks!!)
My3LilMonkeys replied: Our song is I know how to love you well, by Tim McGraw. It's not one of his hits so unless they're fans they really won't know it.
I would suggest It's your love by Tim McGraw & Faith Hill if they like country music.
holley79 replied: Well to be honest I can't remember what song DH and I danced too. I would have to ask him. Horrible of me I know. I do remember dancing to "From thie Moment On" by Shania Twain.
If they do a father/ daughter dance though, "Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunn or "Butterfly Kisses" by various artists.
ashtonsmama replied: At Last, Celine Dion (our song) Also lots of Michael Buble-I'm in love with him right now! He has alot of romantic songs, lots of remakes of them...his voice is so beautiful! Can't think of anything else right now but I'll let you know if I do!
Good luck!
MyLuvBugs replied: Dont' worry. I dont' remember what we danced to either. I wanted to dance our first dance to the song "At Last" but I couldnt' remember who sings it, so the DJ said to find something else.
Would you watch a DVD of pictures to music with words or without words?
My3LilMonkeys replied: I'd prefer with words personally.

And as a side note...I finally found the singer that sings "At Last" - Etta James....I just love that song.

~~*Missi*~~ replied: Chris and I danced to Christina Aguilera "I turn to you"
I walked down the aisle to Enya "only time"
and we walked the aisle together the first time to Christina Aguilera "Blessed"
I had a Soloist during the ceremony also and she sang "the Rose" by Bette Midler... Ok you have me BALLING my eyes out gosh
I wanted " I turn to you" for the walking down the aisle song but the "DJ" didn't have it for the first dance and I was to busy with everything else to buy the cd to ship to him in advanced for the "dvd/cd" they made us....... So I changed blessed with i turn to you.
Enya song was a tribute to Sept 11th around here the song was remixed when 9/11 happened and i loved the song and wanted to remember those people who lost there lifes during my special day.... I still cry thinking about this LOL hubby is looking at me like i am a retard balling my eyes out.....
CantWait replied: Well we don't have "a song", but I like Michael Buble - Home, and Frankie J - I'll be Home Soon. These have a lot of meaning I feel for Ron and I because he's gone a lot.
CantWait replied: Let us know what you decide, and let us see what you come up with.
MyLuvBugs replied: Thanks!!! That's a great site. I'll have to let you all see the show when we get it done after the wedding.
Thanks for all your help.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Our dvd is pictures to the tune of "I will love you" by Fisher.
Except it's not her singing, it's me - I recorded it with a friend of mine who records semi-professionally. He's in several bands... he helped me out with the drums on the track. I did all he rest. It's a really awesome song, and it meant that much more to us that Iw as the one who sang it. It was our first dance song.
I'll see if I can find the cd with the music on it - maybe I can put it up with a link...
BAC'sMom replied: Shameless by Garth Brooks/Billy Joel
Edward's Mommy replied: Our song is Broken-By Seether and Amy Lee of Evanescence

FOLLOW THROUGH [G. DeGRAW]
Oh, this is the start of something good Don't you agree? I haven't felt like this is so many moons You know what I mean? And we can build through this destruction As we are standing on our feet So, since you want to be with me You'll have to follow through With every word you say And I, all I really want is you You to sick around I'll see you everyday But you have to follow through These reeling emotions they just keep me alive They keep me in tune Oh, look what I'm holding here in my fire This is for you Am I too obvious to preach it? You're so hypnotic on my heart So, since you want to be with me You'll have to follow through With every word you say And I, all I really want is you [For] you to sick around I'll see you everyday But you have to follow through You have to follow through The words you say to me are unlike anything That's ever been said And what you do to me is unlike anything That's ever been Am I too obvious to preach it? You're so hypnotic on my heart So, since you want to be with me You'll have to follow through With every word you say And I, all I really want is you [For] you to stick around I'll see you everyday So, since you want to be with me You'll have to follow through With every word you say And I, all I really want is you [For] you to stick around I'll see you everyday But you have to follow through You have to follow through You're gonna have to follow Oh, this is the start of something good Don't you agree?
MyLuvBugs replied: Was that two or one?
So far, these are the songs I've chosen, and the order they'll go in. We can't play them completely through, but we'll play almost half of each song.
At last - Etta James I love the way you love me - John Michael Montgomery Say you love me - Cherie' From this Moment - Shania Twain I'll Be - Edwin McCain Amazed - Lonestar Unforgetable - Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole The Way you look tonight - Ella Fitzgerald What a wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
I've gone with some old singers with a touch of pop and country. What'cha think?
My3LilMonkeys replied: Sounds like great choices to me!!
