luvmykids replied: I like James Patterson for "light" reading, I also love a mystery writer named Tami Hoag, and I like Anita Shreve.

Has anyone read The Devil Wears Prada? I know the movie is coming out but I read the book a long time ago and it's one of my favorites. Nothing deep but I loved it.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Nicholas Sparks True Believer. Now I'm working on the sequel At First Sight (Jen got it for me for Christmas and I'm just now getting around to reading it. blush.gif )

True Believer is good, but kind of slow. wink.gif

luvmykids replied:
I just finished that! I like him too. thumb.gif

moped replied: Why don't you dive into the DaVinci Code

mckayleesmom replied: I totally totally reccomend ANGRY HOUSEWIVES EATING BON BON's....I can't remember the author, but I see it on amazon all the time...Its an awesome book.

Anything by Jennifer Wierner...she wrote IN HER SHOES, LITTLE EARTHQUAKES and another I read, but can't think of the name.

CantWait replied: If you haven't read the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown then that's what I reccomend, but first read Angels and Demons, by same. Super Super Super.

My3LilMonkeys replied: I'm a big fan of the In Death series by J.D. Robb (actually Nora Roberts writing under that name).

The first one is Naked in Death and there are probably close to 20 of them by now.

Brias3 replied:
I really liked "The Devil Wears Prada"- an easy, stress-free read. I'll be interested to see how they put it into a movie.

I recently finished up "Until I Find You" by John Irving and it was really good. A "different" type of story line but really entertaining IMO.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: The last book I read and couldn't put down was
Once In a Lifetime...Danielle Steel
ABOUT THIS BOOK
Millions adored Daphne Fields, for she shared their passion, their pain, their joy, and their sorrow. But America's most popular novelist remained a closed book to the world -- guarding her life with a fierce privacy no reporter could crack.

Her life hides a myriad of secrets. The husband and daughter she lost in a fire. The son who barely survived it and would be deaf forever. The victories, the defeats, the challenges of facing life as a woman alone and helping her son meet the challenges of his handicap. A strong woman, she would not accept defeat, or help from anyone... until she found she could no longer face it alone.

kit_kats_mom replied: I've been re reading a lot of the classics lately. Mainly because they are free to download as ebooks. tongue.gif

Anything by Mark Twain takes me back to a simpler time with simpler problems.

The time machine was a fun read

Now I'm reading Sense and Sensibility.

eta. if you are interested in the free ebooks (download to your computer or PDA) get microsoft reader for free from microsoft and then go to http://etext.lib.virginia.edu/ebooks/ they have them all there.

Our Lil' Family replied:
I'm waiting on my MIL to finish True Believer....she reads too slow!!! lol
We share Nicholas Sparks books, we love him!

The Guardian (Nicholas Sparks) was probably my favorite...suspensful!
