Need advise in baby's shoes - Baby Shoes
nataliefa wrote: Hi everyone,
I need your help, I'm a first time mom and I need help buying my bubba her first pair of shoes.
I have been looking for the soft sole leather shoes, but robezz is out of the question as I cannot afford them, looking on ebay I have found a store in australia, called Absolute Tots, they sell very similar shoes but for only AU$16.99, I thought it's a very good buy.
I was just about to buy them, but I want like to make sure that the soft leather shoes is the way to go or not, (Gaby) my baby does not walk yet, she is 8 months old.
Can you please give me your advise and if they are good as I do not want to miss out , maybe you should take look at them too, they do look so cute.
Thank you for your help
Natalie
Calimama replied: Bella is 6 months old and only wears soft soled shoes. Since she isn't walking she doesn't need the support of hard soles yet.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I think what you describe sounds GREAT! Wesley wears Robeez at 8 months. I think they are perfect. If you have a Target, they sell something similar too. Not sure of the quality, but I imagine just fine since I LOVE Target anything! No hard bottom shoes until they are walking and even then, they can still learn to walk in Robeez.
ETA: I saw a pair of Robeez at Marshall's once for like $12.99 or so. They were a girls pair, so unfortunately I couldn't nab them up! Maybe check them out. Sometimes Nordstroms Rack has them too.
redplaydoh replied: My kids were both in Robeez. I know that Wal-Mart had some that were a knock-off of that brand but they seemed to be more narrow and my kids had wider feet. I think the soft-soled shoes were the best for my kids.
Kentuckychick replied: Target has a bunch online (I bought my goddaughter's in store... less choices) that we really like them
Target Baby Shoes
Brias3 replied: They have a brand similar to Robeez, forget the exact name, but are sold at Target. Quite a few choices, cute colors. I used the soft leather shoes for gripping mainly when my kids began walking, especially for around the house. It's probably a good idea to get her sized for a nice, sturdy pair of walking shoes too so her feet develop properly.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Someone fill me in on the Robeez. I have never heard of them.
hopefulmomtobe replied: Yeah, me too...never heard of Robeez.
Calimama replied: http://robeez.com/ They are soft shoes in AWESOME designs! They have EVERY kind imaginable.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Oh how cute! They have frog ones and little football ones! I like how they just slip on like slippers.
hopefulmomtobe replied: oh my gosh, these are sooo cute!!! Wow - they are pricey, but man, they are just soo cute though!
KingMom replied: I didn't want to fork out the money for Robeez and am using th Target version and they are great. Just like the Robeez and many styles online.
Give them a try, I think I paid $12.99?
Boo&BugsMom replied: Thanks for the tip! I don't even buy myself $26 shoes so the kids wont be getting them either.
Pricy they are, those Robeez, but they are very cute though.
boyohboyohboy replied: I was always told that the pediatricians actually recommend no shoes until they start to walk, it helps them learn to use their feet appropriately.... I think I was talking to someone on here about that not to long ago....but we all like to dress our babies up in cute little out fits...
holley79 replied: Annika is almost 14 months old and she is still and will only wear soft soled shoes. I got mine at payless and off Amazon.com
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Just wanted to add that the Robeez are pricey, but they last fooooooooorrrever!!! We've bought a couple pairs and they have lasted through both kids. We've also received hand-me-downs from my sister, who has three kids herself. The leather is so soft and you can throw them in the wash. They are great! They slip on so easy and never fall off like other shoes! I won't even bother with other kids shoes anymore (until they are older of course).
Cece00 replied: My younger 2 have both robeez AND the similar (yet cheaper) ones from Target. My daughter also wears some harder soled shoes when we go outside, so that she doesnt hurt her foot if she steps on something sharp/hard, etc.
But let me just say about the target brand- I actually like them BETTER than robeez. The ones I have are softer and more flexible and they are extremely well made. I sat down with a bunch of pairs of both shoes one day to examine the quality. The only reason we own any robeez is b/c sometimes I can not find ones in colors or patterns I want @ Target. But I much prefer the ones from Target, I think they are the same quality, but Robeez is just charging for the name.
