Need Help - Lawn Mower not working

it could be a sparkplug problem

check the oil

make sure there is not a leak in your fuel line

mckayleesmom replied: turn it over and see if their is grass jammed up inside it.....Pull it out. Mine always konks out when its clogged up....Also...Did you check the oil?

Ours worked fine the first few times this summer, then it did the same thing, 2/3 of the yard got mowed, and the last 1/3 did not or it took 5min to get the mower started back up. It had not been serviced as of yet for this year, and that is what we think it may be. Either that or the oil.

CantWait replied: Thanks for the help guys, but I think I need to wait till dh gets home. I didn't know a lawn mower needed to be serviced.

C&K*s Mommie replied: I think it is called a lawn mower tune up. But it is reccommended once a yr. Something that your DH could likely do himself, or take in to a shop.

CantWait replied: Go on Oaf, say it. I can take it. I know what you're thinking anyway. There's only so many things that I will leave up to dh, especially since when he's gone I have no choice but to fend for myself.

Anyway I finished the job. I got it working again...and now all my lawn is cut and looking pretty.

This was also the first time I've ever cut the grass with a gas mower. I'm pretty proud of myself.
