Need BIG help with DH's Christmas Present

My2Beauties wrote: WWYD? Every single year he just asks for clothes or shoes, which I do get him an outift or two each year and usually a pair of shoes or something, but I'm tired of doing that. Last year I got him a pop-a-shot basketball and an air hockey table (a smaller one) for the basement. I don't know how to top that this year. What I'd really really LOVE to do would be to get him some rims for his car or some speakers, but those things are waaaaaaaaaaaaay too high for me to even THINK about doing. So, I also thought about getting him a cell phone. We go through T-Mobile and he has the silver Razr, he hates that phone with a passion. But I'm almost thinking that's not going to be an exciting present, he's had 50 cell phones since I met him, I mean I want to get him something that he'll LOVE. I'm already getting him some clothes, some workboots, some long john's etc for work. Anyone have any cool ideas?

Anthony275 replied: maybe a nintendo wii- as for the phone could youg et him a new sidekick?

My2Beauties replied:
He hates video games, but good idea. I did look at the sidekick, I really like it. It's a bit pricey but it's manageable.

Guys the rims are definitely out, so far I've been looking online at dealers in our area, the cheapest set I've seen is $700 for the full set, $175 per rim, that's not counting the new tires you have to buy because they wont' go on standard tires ohmy.gif I had no idea they were that high.

Anthony275 replied: yea get him the sidekick- imsurehe wont get a new phone within 2 months a fter getting it

Kaitlin'smom replied: sorry I am no help I am actually clueless as to what to get DH, sure he gave me a few ideas and I will probably get a couple of them but BORING I need something creative

gr33n3y3z replied: Not sure what to tell you but good luck
I have the same problem with Ed every year Its no fun

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: My DH actually makes a list each year, with photos!!! rolling_smile.gif

This is what my DH wants...if it helps (I don't know the specifics because I'm a girl laugh.gif ):

Bose home theatre surround sound system
Nintendo game thing, plus some games
Iphone (he thinks)
new Harry Potter DVD
Trivial Pursuit version 5 or 6

I am caving in and finally getting him the Nintendo this year. They aren't too bad price wise and he has been asking for five years now. rolleyes.gif My parents got him the DVD. I'll probably throw in some games, some clothes. The Bose thing is like $800. Anyhow, what about a little getaway LeaAnn or tickets to a pro game somewhere? I did that one year, tickets to an Avalanche (hockey) game. DH loved it! I threw in a jersey, hat and puck.

Anthony275 replied: rae are you talking about a nintendo DS?

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
I had to look at his list.....Gamecube. blush.gif Is he going to like it? He wants James Bond and Zelda with it. Will I ever see my husband if I buy this for him? tongue.gif

LeaAnn, I really think a night out somewhere would be a cool gift! Dinner at his favorite place and maybe even a hotel stay. To me, a night out without the kids is the best gift - just five minutes of peace would be the BEST gift! wink.gif

Anthony275 replied: gamecube is from 2001. he's better off getting a wii becasue its backwards compatable (play gamecube games on it) and you can download old games from sega genesis, nintendo 64, atari, etc.. on the wii
anything else just pm me

A&A'smommy replied:
gamecube for real?? we had one of those and it sucked, and they are old! I recommend either a WII or xbox 360 they are both great

LeaAnn I'm in the SAME boat as you I have NO idea what to get my dh.. he keeps naming things off but I think he is trying to break us rolleyes.gif

jcc64 replied: What about a w/e away together? Arrange it all ahead of time- the babysitting, the hotel, the place, etc. That's so important to do as a couple, but we never seem to make the time for ourselves.

Does he fish, LeaAnn? Is he into a particular sports team? I read somewhere about the ability to get a channel that carries all of your favorite teams' games, even the away ones that are out of your local market. I know that's something my dh would love, though I'd never see him again. Have no idea how much it is, but it's gotta be less than the rims.

holley79 replied: I ahve been having a heck of a time with DH. I was looking at getting him a camcorder but the only ones I like are online and I would have to order it which I can't do till payday. I am looking at getting him, maybe, a new computer monitor. One of the flat screen ones. Get him a camcorder for our anniversary.

Men are tough to buy for. How come they can't be simple like us. rolling_smile.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
that is my dh too, all his ideas are super expensive..

I dont have any creative fun ideas...I think tickets to a game sounds like a fun gift!
