If what he says is true she obviously died from something else but he is still 100% guilty and if she did have anything else in her system we will now never know. He needs a cell but I wonder if anything will come of it.

luvmykids replied: I've been hearing about this....the thing is, if he had no idea why she died then why not get help? That just makes him all the more suspicious, you don't dump a body unless you don't want to get caught. I can't use the words I'd like to describe him  My jaw dropped when he said he didn't know for sure if she was dead when they dumped her in the ocean

I think now her mother can atleast know what happened to Natalie. If his story is true maybe it was alcohol posioning?

That's what I thought also. A teenage girl on vacation with her friends obviously drunk enough to be kissing a strange guy on a beach....either way that is no excuse for his actions after the fact.

Bamamom replied: What the family has long believed happened (because of info collected by a private investigator) was pretty much proved out by the video. Except they were told that they were having sex and she died during it - he dumped the body because he had put something in her drink and didn't want to get busted. Anyway - I just hope they nail him for something. According to the PI this wasn't a one time thing for Van der Sloot but habitual behavior towards the visiting high school girls.

I heard her mother on a christian radio station where I live, and she is just amazing. She has written a book on traveling safely, and also travels around speaking at high schools about it. She said her faith has played a huge role in her ability to continue with life....I just don't know how you ever get through it with no closure.
