Names? - Anyone else anxious....
MyLuvBugs wrote: Any of you moms that are due this year pick out names for your new babies yet? I know Rae has picked out Wesley (which I love by the way).
Here's what we've chosen = BOY: Wyatt Charles OR GIRL: Lexi Alice
I'm just curious to see if anyone else has already decided. lol We're alittle anxious can you tell!?!? Ha!
ediep replied: I am not even pregnant (yet?) not even sure if we are ttc right now but I have names picked out!
love the names you chose!
PrairieMom replied: We are still working on it, but DH refuses to discuss it until we know the gender. However, I like
For girl: Brenna Nikol Alexis Elizabeth
For Boy Nikolas Justin
DH insists I spell Nikol the "real" way Nicole, but I want it to be named after my sister who spells it the other way. What do you think?
My3LilMonkeys replied: Well I am not pg put I love those names!
Prarie Mom, I like Brenna Nikol. And I think it's fine to spell it the way you want! Since it will be her middle name, it wouldn't be something she would use a lot so she wouldn't have to constantly correct people for spelling it wrong, KWIM?
I just have to ask - are you hoping for a girl so you can have the Boy and the Girl?
PrairieMom replied: We were trying for a girl, but now that I am PG, I am just sure it is a boy. It will be another 8 weeks until I can find out, so I guess I will have to keep wondering for a while!
My DH is such a dope. He really insists that I spell Nikol "right" but to me, that IS the right way. I Gave The Boy the middle name Tracy after his father so IMO, i should be able to name this one what ever I want! It's probably a boy so it won't even matter.
Freckled Momma replied: Everyone is picking such great names!
PrairieMom...I think you should spell the name however you want. Nikol is an unique spelling and it's special to your family. And IF it's a boy...he's not making an issue out of the way you want to spell Nikolas? (I like that name too...I have a Nicholas)
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: We have no names and no real ideas basically we aren't even close to agreeing on anything
Matt was supposedly a girl (from 18 weeks until 36 weeks...many many u/s all agreed) so his name was Kassandra Ellen...not sure if I wasnt to use kassandra (Kassie) because it feels like we would be using it again. Unfortunately it is the only girls name we can agree on. We definately wouldn't use Ellen as my new nieces MN is Ellen so we would use either Emily or Emma
what we have talked about... Girls Kassandra Samantha
Boys Jonathan Christopher Patrick and any combonation of those names
PrairieMom replied: Oh yeah. Thats totally an issue too. We aren't really getting down and dirty until we know the gender, but then the gloves are comming off! and I will totally beat him into submission!
Freckled Momma replied:
Good for you!
TAKE IT TO THE MATTRESS!
MomToMany replied: Great names everyone has! We've been discussing names already, but I'm not sharing so no one steals them, LOL!
moped replied: Ahhh no fair!!!!!!!!!!
moped replied: We arent even trying and may not have another but i have names anyways!!!
Girl: Sloan
Boy: Kai
MyLuvBugs replied: Well, I'm the wrong one to ask b/c I like names spelled in different ways. So, I like the Nikol instead of Nicole. But that's just me. I LOVE the name Alexis Elizabeth. That's so beautiful.
kimberley replied: i like the different spelling too
i am not likely going to have more kids but if i did...
Boy - Riley Girl - Lauryn (dh would never agree tho )
luvmykids replied: You all have great names! I stink at that, I'm too indecisive. DH had to finally settle it and name Macie all by himself! ( I wanted to name her Lilly after my grandma but it started a family riot )
MyLuvBugs replied: Riley is a cute name for a boy or a girl. You could always do Riley Lauryn. lol
danahas4monkeys replied: Those are great names! I am partial to Lexi though we have an Alexis Brooke.
Prairemom we have a Kimberly Nikole I wanted her middle name to be different!
dana
A&A'smommy replied: LOL I feel the same way!!!
PrairieMom replied: I figure you can go ahead and steal my name, since I'll never meet any of you in person, I would be more flattered.
Halo42101 replied: I love the names everyone has thought of.
Hugs from, Jessi
wintersnow replied: We are having a girl and have decided on Caitlyn Carol "Carol" was my moms first name (She passed away in August)
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Everyone so far has great names! We're not set on Wesley as a matter of fact. I was just curious if people thought it was too cutesie with Wil. I'm still not sure about it. The other names we're considering are:
Alexander (Alex)...which I think is what we're going with! Joshua (DH's favorite not mine) Alec Charlie
I also like Jared and Phillip, but DH doesn't really like them.
moped replied: I love the name Charlie - it was waht we thought of before we picked jack!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I love it too...but I don't think DH does. So I think we're deciding between Alex or Wesley.
moped replied: Go Wesley go!!!!
PrairieMom replied: We are thinking about alexis for a girl, but may also consider Alexander for a boy. I think I would end up shortening it to Al tho!
coasterqueen replied: Well we are probably never going to have another but I always said if I had a boy I'd name him Tyler Christian.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Now you guys are making me think twice!! What's wrong with Alex? See this is why I don't like talking names with friends... LOL!
PrairieMom replied: There is NOTHING wrong with Alex. If we name our little girl Alexis we will most likely endup calling her Alex. I can just see myself calling my little boy Al. Kinda like I call Ben The Boy. It just seems a little funny to me to have an Infant with such an adult sounding name.
MyLuvBugs replied: Oh Alexander is a great name!! I also LOVE the name Jared.....Jared Alexander.....Ok, now I'm starting to reconsider our names..... Stop it! lol You all are funny.
Aprilnewbee replied: ggrrrrr..... that's my girl name (Alexis Elizabeth). I think it is beautiful and flows well, and no matter what last name you have it goes with most very well. Because it is unique and classic at the same time. But this baby is going to be a boy, we had two very clear u/s. However, I love the way you spell Nikol, I always thought Nicole was very 80's-ish. And I think family names trump, 'traditional' names. Like with our name for our boy, Owen Reed, Owen is my grandmother's maiden, and Reed is my husband's middle. But with Alexis Elizabeth, Alexis was just a name we both agreed on and Elizabeth has to be the middle name of my first born daughter because I am 6th generation Elizabeth and I don't want to be the one to break that tradition.

CosmetologyMommy replied: I'm not even pregnant and we already have the names picked out: Girl Erynn Renee(My middle name is Renee!) Boy: undecided I guess it better be a girl!
pinniy replied: Azia Janai
Halo42101 replied: What's really ironic is that I have a best friend who has 2 little boys named Wesley & Alex. I love their names but I think Wesley is more unique, which I like.
3xsthefun replied: I like the name Alexander.
I'm not pregnant, but do have names picked out if we ever do have another baby.
Boy: Ryan Michael or Micheal Aaron
Girl: Jillian or Ashlynn (not really sure about middle name)
Halo42101 replied: We agreed that if we have a girl, her name will be Emily. We thought we were going with Cameron at first for a boy but now we're not sure. We are thinking of more names for a boy. We are leaning toward Bibical names like Matthew, Joshua, etc. If anyone has any suggestions, please let us know. Our last name is Holler.
Hugs & love from, Jessi & Family
Cece00 replied: We havent started to discuss yet, as we JUST found out last week. DH is convinced its a boy (so he says....he also said that last time, and we had a daughter) & we used the only girl's name we really loved last time. So, a girls name might be hard & its kind of up to me b/c the deal was I get to have the most say for a girl's name & DH has the most say over the boys name...
For a boy, we're using John Patrick, Jr, and calling him "Jack". This is DH's idea I have a TON of boy's names I like but he insists a boy has to be named after him, and I love him a ton so......although the other day he DID say something about naming him after his dad (Edward Charles, IV) and I said NO WAY.
I'm more apt to think its a girl (we have a girl & my hubby has a girl with an ex) so I need to think up girls names but I cant think of any I really love & that go with Ross, Evan and Natalie. We also kind of liked Mia last time but I'm not so crazy about it this time around.
akelly replied: Girl: Amilee Barbara (middle name after my aunt and his mom) Boy: Evan Alexander or perhaps Evan Robert (after both our dads)
For now! LOL!
Amy
ilovemybaby replied: I'm only about 10 weeks pregnant so I don't know the sex of baby yet. Once we know we will be choosing a name. We have some in mind but we aren't sure yet.
So far we've got...
Naomi Sophia Naomi Celine Sophie Ariana Sophia Naomi
Reuben Andrew/André Reuben James Reuben Paul Reuben Michael
As you can see I'm pretty much set on Reuben for a boy LOL
Mom2BNTN replied: We are having a boy and have decided to name him Dylan Zachary. We do have a girl's name picked out though just incase our ultrasound tech was wrong. They sometimes are you know.... She would have been named Julianna Marie.
