My2Beauties replied: I'm sick to my stomach too! I knew he'd get off!
gr33n3y3z replied: Well he wont be near my house or kids so one more perv on the street
SOUTHERN MOMMY replied: Thats what happens when you are rich makes me sick but the parents need to be in jail what were they thinking i guess $$$
tammyhopkins replied: can't get any luckier than that.
Mommy2BAK replied: Thats what I was thinking. Those parents are CRAZY!!! Its not like this is the first time these charges have come up!
Alice replied: I wonder if a Catholic Priest with the same background and situation would have gotten off? Not likely!!
I also think that any parent who lets their kids within a mile of Jackson should be arrested for endangering the welfare of a minor!!
Boys r us replied: If I were a juror on that court case, I don't know that I could convict him either.
This family has accused numerous people of molesting their children and had more than one law suit for this. Okay..that in itself is enough to raise an eyebrow..but do you think also that if this were your son who had already been "molested" by countless others you would let him sleep in the bed with a person whom had already been accused of molesting another child? **IF** it did happen then I think this mother is very much to blame herself and should be sitting in a jail cell..after all she IS his gaurdian and is responsible for his well being!
That said..yes I think Michael Jackson is a freak and no I wouldn't trust him with my children..but I also don't think that there was any compelling evidence for a jury to convict him beyond a shadow of a doubt either.
guertin31 replied: The sad part is, EVERYONE knows he is up to something... yet NO ONE can pin what it is...
No matter how you see it, it sends a bad message to Americans that people like OJ, MJ and any other celeb can get off on charges that if it were just an ordinary person would be behind bars now...
I remember when OJ got off and I felt the same way as I did for this guy... Dissapointed...
But most of all, that child... What a shame...
jcc64 replied: I guess I kind of agree with Nichole. It seems obvious something happened, but this particular victim and his family just didn't present well for the prosecution. There were most definitely credibility problems, coupled with top shelf lawyers that only Jackson's $$$$ can buy, I knew it would end up just where it did. I only wish there could have been some sort of restraining order issued for any future contact with children, but I guess the law doesn't work that way.
Jamielou replied: I think i will have to agree with you yeah i think he is a sick person but if it were me i wouldnt let my kids sleep with a grown man who already had allegations of child abuse. THis is a tough one on one hand i think he is guilty and then i think well the parents just wanted money who really knows
gr33n3y3z replied: I agree with Nichole After hearing the jurors talk about the case the woman couldnt even keep the facts stright and soon it was lie after lie. I'm sure he did do something at some point and time who knows.
My2Beauties replied: Yeah I wanted to elaborate on this post today! I watched a lot of news shows last night about this case and I watched one where they interviewed the actual jury, I do agree with Nichole. The mother had credibility issues. I think MJ is up to something, I really do, I think he is sick and has done something to countless little boys, however, the law says that the jury had to believe that beyond a reasonable doubt MJ molested this child, there just wasn't enough evidence to prove it!
A&A'smommy replied: I agree with you!!! Although it sucks I think he needs to go to jail I'm sick of him!!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I didn't bother to watch any of it, because I frankly don't care.
I wouldn't be stupid enough to let my CHILD sleep over at a MAN's house, I don't give 2 sh!!!s WHO he is, celebrity or NOT. I would, however, take my kids to Neverladn for a visit - it seems like a nice place - but I would NEVER leave my child unattended for a SECOND. EVER.
I think that what's wrong here is the image portrayed. Media LOVES to play everybody in a bad light - and of course, onlyplayed *bad* clips, making the person(s) involved look like they weant them to look.
I'm sure that if we would have been in the courtroom, we might feel differently.
We only think he's a freak because of what we see on the tv or hear on the radio - i'm sure he's a great person, just a little...strange. Ok a LOT strange.
Nevertheless - especially after having heard about the previous charges - when *I* was a child myself - I would never leave my kid with someone who'd been accused of molestation. Even if I was hoping to make big money out of it - it's just wrong.
If he did it, he has to live with himself - and the parents who continue to take their children to see the most infamous *accused* so called child molester, then that is their decision to live with - and if their child is molested, it's a decision that the parents will have to regret for the rest of their life, and it's a decision that will haunt a child for the rest of theirs.
If he didn't do it - he sure doesn't help his own public image.
AND - to get on my soap box a little - I know what he *meant* by saying there is nothing more special than sharing your bed with a child, and I agree wholeheartedly - he just said it wrong - but think of it this way - how many of us co-sleep? How many of us wouldn't want it any other way? How many of us love to cuddle in bed on a saturday morning with our kids? How many of us wish we could?
I don't know about you - but when my child is *sharing my bed*, I feel like the most loved mommy in the world, and I pity those who cannot take a few minutes to enjoy the pure joy of having moments like those.
