My vacuum is NOT a wet/dry vac....

MomToMany wrote: I have an upright bagless Bissell. We were trying to fix our dishwasher last week, and DH used it to suck up some chunks of hard water or whatever it was. Well, today I went to go vacuum, and it just SMELLS AWFUL like something rotting in there! I almost barfed it was SO GROSS!

I took it apart, and there was mold everywhere in there! He must've sucked up some water with it too!

I hope I can get this cleaned, or he owes me a new vacuum mad.gif !

jdkjd replied: I killed our old vacuum by sucking up dirt from an over-turned plant. The dirt was too moist and it killed the motor.

Take it to a vacuum repair place and get an estimate. It may be more cost-effective to get a new one...

Good Luck!!

Kaitlin'smom replied: eeeewwww gross

Josie83 replied: The fool! Make sure he gets you a new one if that one's bittne the dust (no pun intended). urgh that is so annoying! xx

5littleladies replied: Well that's a bummer. I agree with Jenn-It would probably cost less to get a new one. Make sure he gets you a nice one. wink.gif

Boys r us replied: Oh no!! Well I hope it's not ruined!!!!

mom21kid2dogs replied: WoW! Must have had a big DH "duh" moment, huh? blink.gif
I think that one earns you the right to bean him with an attachment~one the way to buy your new, expensive sweeper!! wink.gif

MomToMany replied: I think it's save-able. I'm going to need new filters for it though. I got the hose and filter containers all cleaned out. I took the hose off and rinsed it out in the tub. I hope I got it cleaned good enough.

I want a Dyson!!!

jdkjd replied: Even if it's save-able...I would try the guilt route and see if he'll get you the Dyson.

If you are doing the vacuuming-you deserve it!!!

ammommy replied:
I love my Dyson! If anyone in your family has allergies, you will save the cost of the vaccuum in the first year because you won't have to buy allergy medicine!

Just trying to give you some ammo for getting the new cleaner laugh.gif But, it's true. Alec and I both took Zyrtec at a cost of $50 per month each and in the year I've had the Dyson, I've only filled the script once!

MomToMany replied: Hee hee, thanks ladies! I had my eye on one since I saw them at Sears! I might have to tell him that it's no fixable. He doesn't know yet wink.gif .

A&A'smommy replied: OMG ewwww!!! I want a dyson too that is just too neat!!!
