My sister is in the hospital

My sister has been in alot of pain since her c-section and really really swollen. Sunday she went to the ER because she was in alot of pain. They found an infection in her insision from her c-section,gave her some antibiotics and sent her on her way. She took them and on Monday she was feeling better. Her and her boyfriend went to the grocery store and as she was getting in the car....she felt a pop and puss and ooze came pouring out of her insision area.....TOTALLY GROSS I KNOW. They went straight to the ER and they admitted her right away. They said there was a puss pocket on the inside that burst. While she was there they did blood work and her whole system is just out of wack. She was so low on blood that she was anemic, her h&h levels were so low they thought she was bleeding out somewhere. Her white blood cell count was sky high and she is really really low on pottasium levels. They have her on 3 different antibiotics...they have called in blood specialists and today they had her kidneys checked because they can't get her swelling to go down at a normal rate....They have her on high doses of lasix to get the swelling down, but its going really really slowly.

I asked my mom if they checked her yet for being a diabetic....Our grandfather had diabetes really bad. My mom said that it was funny I asked because they think she is also showing signs of preclampsia....apparently some woman don't get it till after the baby is born....I guess it happens when they get it at the last minute and they have to treat it after.


So...can you all say a prayer that she gets better....My mom is really stressed out....She is juggling Timmy and the infant while my sister is in the hospital....My sisters boyfriend is with the baby for a couple days, but his work won't give him time off for family emergency's because they are not married......Oh...and my moms boyfriend's mom passed away today....

So we need a prayer chain...
