That is hysterical that you posted that. My mom sent me both of them and I chose the wooden one. I just figure that she has enough electronic toys and the wooden one will be more of an heirloom KWIM? Plus, her great grandpa wanted to make a play kitchen for her but his sight is going quickly. I'm guessing that this is as close to what he would have made as we are going to get.

ediep replied: very cute, I was thinking of getting the one that talks to you for J for Christmas, but I don't think DH would like it...he thinks kitchens are for girls. Little does he know, whenever we go to a friends house that has them, Jason plays with them the entire time.....that and the doll strollers!

jcc64 replied: I was just about to start "shopping" for a kitchen for Corey- thanks for saving me the trouble, guys! I like the idea of a wooden one, purely for decorative reasons. I'll be looking at it for a long time, I figure, and I went to such lengths to create a rustic, soft colorwashed girly retreat and I don't want the intrusion of all that tacky plastic. And while I'm sure Corey would enjoy the electronic sounds initially, I'm really attracted to the idea of genuine low tech imaginative play.
