My lovely experience at a restuarant with jenna
mummy2girls wrote: My parents arrived this morning and took me and jenna out for breakfast. I put her in a high cahir and gave her some things to fiddle around with.. she lasted a whole 20 minutes and decided to get onery!!!!!!
Me and my mom took turns holding her, she threw spoons, jam, straws and cream packets on the floor. And then my ice tea tipped over all over the table and floor and there was toast all over the floor along with eggs and such!! I looked at my parents and said...never again. her dad will have to watch her if we want to do this again!!LOL
5littleladies replied: Oh my goodness!! Sounds like fun. We have a hard time taking Brianna out to eat too-Sometimes she is great and other times she does exactly what Jenna did. It gets easier as they get older (usually-lol).
kimberley replied: sorry, but that is too funny! kids will be kids. i bet jenna had fun tho
ediep replied: Yup, Jay is like that sometimes. We take his portable high chair seat with us, this way he has a tray. We only go if it is his meal time too. He'd never want to be strapped in unless he was eating. I think its a good idea to bring the baby (toddler) sometimes to a kid-friendly restuarant because I would hate not to ever be able to go out to eat as a family, but it is also important to go out with adults and leave the baby with a babysitter other times.
paradisemommy replied: we don't even attempt to go out to a restaurant because ds would be just like jenna
Schnoogly replied: 20 min is pretty good actually! Iain is always like that. We never go out
Kirstenmumof3 replied: That sounds about how Claudia handles resturants! My older 2 children loved going to resturants, so I am at a loss as to how to handle her when she does this. Maybe the more you go the more she will get used to it and grow to enjoy it!
MommyToAshley replied: Ashley does pretty well at restaurants for the most part. But, she has had an occasional experience like that. You just have to laugh it off.
However, I have a restaurant vent. Why do they make the tables soooo small and then pull a highchair up to the table! I find myself eating at the corner of the table so Ashley isn't grabbing the food off my plate too. LOL And, of course the waiter/waitress has to put the food down in front of her. I would think that they have had enough babies in the restaurant that they know why everything is pushed to the opposite side of the table. Ok, I feel better now that I have gotten that off my chest.
aspenblue1 replied: ITA with the restraunt vent!
Isabella is usually pretty good at the restraunt unless they don't get the food to use quick enough.
chloe&tysmommy replied: btdt! We usually have a hard time with Chloe, once in awhile she does ok but she hates sitting in the high chair! She would much rather run around the restaurant (which we don't let her do). If we go out to eat we make sure she isn't tired and is a little hungry so she will have something to do. It will be nice when she's older and will sit nice
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Yep, Maddie still has her moments. But, the more you take them, the better they do. IMO, you need to take them so they will know how to behave in a restaurant. My DH used to get very frustrated at the 'scene' we were causing. I always told him that Maddie wasn't the first baby to misbehave in a restaurant and she certainly won't be the last.
CantWait replied: Oh wow, I'm not looking forward to going through all this again. I'm sorry that your time at the restaraunt was such a disaster.
