My lil baby girl is ill

C&K*s Mommie wrote: Kelllie has food poisoning. We spent most of the early morning hours rocking in bed, or sitting up in Chris' chair because of the nausea she had. She ran fevers most of the night, but they did not give her fits. It was the nausea that kept waking her up. She refused any meds for the nausea, and I was not about to cause more nausea by giving her fever meds on an empty stomach. She refused to eat even a cracker, (which is understandable too) which would have aided in the handling the fever meds better.

On the lighter side, it gave us another chance to cuddle together, even if I was falling asleep every few seconds only to be awakened again.

She is in my arms now, with a slight fever. So we are going to have more cuddle time, just me and the girls. wub.gif wub.gif

The cleaning can wait in this house, my baby is sick. blush.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: Thanks you guys! hug.gif I was coming here to post an update and I was surprised that anyone else responded with more well wishes. We are humbled that you would do that. wub.gif She is much better now, napping but better. Christian is ill now, but she is napping too. Cuddling with the kids~~ I love every minute of it! wub.gif wub.gif Although I tripped on everything that was on the floor in the LR when I went to get up, I would not have traded a moment of the cuddles, to clean up instead. oh yeah! They love fruit bars, but we were out of them & I did not think to have Chris get some more. I will have to keep a running list of items that are good for ill kids. Thanks for the reminder! thumb.gif

The short of the long story with Kellie and her food poisoning is that she got a hold of a hot dog that I had sitting in a pizza box on the kitchen table from Monday night, she ate some of it on Tues. The trash outside was full, and it had not been picked up yet as of the time she got ahold of the hd on Tues. Otherwise I would have dumped the pizza box Tues morning. She ate a small portion of it, and I noticed what she was doing-I took away the remainder of the hd (which was more than half). But she had it broken into bite size pieces. As I was taking the remainder from her, she shoved a piece in her mouth. That is what I believe caused her to be ill. That one piece & the other small piece she had by the time I noticed. Hot dog sitting out overnight + being eaten = well you know.... sickness.

Thanks everyone!! hug.gif
