My hubby is one in a million!
coasterqueen wrote: I just can't believe my eyes these days. DH isn't completely sticking to the "only drinking on the weekends" thing but he's doing so well with the whole thing in general. Better than he ever has! I am so proud of him and instead of nagging on him for not adhering to the weekend only things I'm trying to let him deal with this on his own and I think doing so is making things better because he is REALLY trying and I see more tea and water in his glass than I do a drink of alcohol.
Besides that I just can't believe how he's really stepping up to the plate with this whole partial bedrest thing. Ever since yesterday he's been constantly reassuring me that if I get put on full bedrest we'll deal with it somehow and even though I know we will it's nice to hear him say it too. He's also busting his tush around the house.
We need to paint the main floor of the house...we've been putting it off for so long and we have drywall mud patches all over our house so it needs to be done. Dh is not only busting his tush painting in every spare second he has, he cleaned the floors today, had someone come in and clean the great room carpet and hallway, and even asked me to teach him how to do laundry. So I showed him how and he said "baby, you just let me take care of everything and you won't even notice a disruption in our lives." What a sweetheart! And this is from a man who isn't saying these things to get something because he can't (beyond both of our control, lol).
He even told me to go rest and let him put Kylie down for a nap and bedtime. Although I told him that was his time to relax and I'd put her down. I figured since I have to be in bed anyways..the least I could do is lay with her to go to sleep, right . I know he needs that down time to just have some time to himself too .
He even said he'd look into finding someone this week to come to our house to do my hair. He also said since he knows how sad I am that I have to cancel my long awaited and deserved lady's night out on the 29th of this month that he'll make it up to me somehow and that I'll be happy to be with him instead.
Let's just hope he keeps this up. Course I know in his head he's thinking the doc might lift the partial bedrest when we go to our Dec 2nd appointment...who knows she might but I hope he's not banking on it.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Man, he is one in a million!!! What a great hubby! I would love to think Scotty would do that for me, but I am doubtful. You really have a great guy...I'm glad you realize it.
coasterqueen replied: Thanks everyone! I know I don't appreciate him enough, which is something I need to work on.
We did hit a glitch yesterday. He was getting a bit down about doing everything and wanted me to give in and go into town with him for a couple of hours but I told him we have to follow the rules and if we are good doc might lift them on Dec 2nd.
Boys r us replied: Karen.............OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW FABULOUS!!!!!!! You lucky lucky girl!
kimberley replied: wow! what a great turn around! my fingers are crossed that this keeps up!
and this just melted me into a big gooey puddle! you are a lucky girl!
MommyToAshley replied: That's awesome Karen. What a great guy, he is really trying (and succeeding!)
Don't worry about the little glitch, we all get down sometimes. It's how we act upon it that matters, and it sounds like you handles it perfectly.
TANNER'S MOM replied: Good deal. You know what he loves you and he loves your children. He knows that you need more now than you ever have. I am glad he is the man you love and really knew he was...you that is the deal. We see all the good in them and we love that good so strongly, and when the bad comes out it is so disappointing.
But I am glad he is being there for you in your time of need.
Go Hubby Go
A&A'smommy replied: OMG what a DARLING!!!!! I'm also keeping my fingers crossed!!!

loveydad replied: I'm glad that you have a man who treats you how you deserve! I used to call my ex my little Premenstrual princess - and when she was pregnant My lil Pregnant Princess. Send your hubby over here next, my laundry has been stacking up for weeks!
coasterqueen replied: If he lived near by he'd probably do it. He has always hated laundry piled up but when I was doing it he could never complain. I'm almost betting by the time we get close to the end of the pg he'll be using a service.
My2Beauties replied: Ooh what a prince charming, you lucky girl
