My hubby had a Martha Stewart Moment - "While I was away"
My2Beauties wrote: I came home to a beautiful freshly painted kitchen and bathroom last night complete with chair rails in the kitchen The colors are gorgeous. I warned him though now he has started a job he has to finish, all my colors have to flow downstairs so he needs to paint the hallway, livingroom and our bedroom now! Oh and the linoleum in the kitchen and bath is coming up too...like next week It's hideous now because the colors are brighter and the linoleum is white and makes all the dirt, scuffmarks and imperfections stand out 10x more than they already did. I took some pics but will take more tonight and post later! I love my hubby!
luvmykids replied: WTG Bryan! What are your new colors?
MommyToAshley replied: What a great DH, how cool is that!
I'd love see the pictures. I always struggle over what color to paint.

My2Beauties replied: He did a peachy/orangy color in the kitchen (against my cherry furniture it's beautiful) and a brighter green in the bathroom. Let me go to home depots website to see if I can find the colors for you guys I remember their names but the names don't tell you anything! LOL!
DVFlyer replied: He must be making up for something...

The first color on the swatch is the one in the kitchen, I want to use the 3rd or 4th color in my bedroom and the 2nd one in my livingroom, it's more orangy than it looks. It's in the muted orange color family.

This is the one he used in the bathroom, the 1st one on the swatch!
My2Beauties replied: Not that I know of that doesn't mean he isn't! LOL!
Kaitlin'smom replied: okay when I clicked the links I got a green living room
My2Beauties replied: Shoot they aren't working. Well if you want to search which I doubt LOL The colors are Ceramic Glaze and Garden Spot! LOL!
coasterqueen replied: Wow! Great hubby.
So did he pick the colors out himself? If he did he is BRAVE. I don't think my Dh would ever pick out colors alone.
Now, can you have your hubby call mine and get mine to get busy on our bathroom? Although, mine is just waiting for me to finish my projects in there so he can paint.
ETA: So what kind of flooring are you going to get?
My2Beauties replied: Yes he actually did, scary I know. But he really did a good job. At first I was really iffy when I walked in because they weren't completely finished and of course nothing was on the walls and my furniture wasn't in the kitchen, but once we re-hung our pictures and put the table back in there it's so beautiful, I love it. He was very brave. I've been on Home Depot and Lower's websites and I'm going with a Laminate flooring probably but I'm not 100% certain. I hate to do more linoleum but we may have to do that as a quick fix until I can afford ceramic tile, isn't that much more expensive and a lot more work involved. We don't have much time we wanna get everything done before our Derby party on May 2nd.
coasterqueen replied: I can't wait to see pics
I'm doing the linoleum in our bathroom too, mainly because if we ever redo our bathroom further, we'd move the shower/tub, etc and that would mean if I put ceramic down now it would all have to come up and be redone - wasting money. It is also cheaper for a fast project.
Congrats again!
My2Beauties replied: I agree I'd rather wait and do the ceramic tile when we re-do cabinets and put in new tubs and sinks and countertops etc....like a full on re-model. Like you said, right now is a quick fix. Thanks I'm going to take some more pics tonight of just those two rooms and I'll keep updating everyone on other progress
