holley79 replied: Oh I'm so glad you like it. I told DH I needed to order some of it.
Bee_Kay replied: What are you sewing??
mckayleesmom replied: I have a glide rocker that I got after I had Russell....I washed the cushions so much that they started to shred....So Im making new ones.
C&K*s Mommie replied: don't forget the pics to show off your work!
Bee_Kay replied: Ohhhh! I made my first quilt last month and bought a sewing machine. The quilt is for my daughter.
I also know how to crochet, and a few years ago I crocheted an afghan for my son (and they take so darn long) so I decided to try a quilt. It turned out really nice. I didn't go for a real difficult one. Just squares, rectangles and strips. I actually shocked myself and my daughter loves it.
mckayleesmom replied: I want to try a quilt next.....but I have never done it before. I would also like to learn to make afgans.
Bee_Kay replied: I was pretty nervous making it, but it turned out ok. The only mistake I made was a couple squares didn't line up exactly right (off by maybe 1/2 inch). Other than that, it went pretty fast.
Bee_Kay replied: I've made probably 10 afgans (most of them were baby afghans for when friends had babies).
I've only made 2 fullsize ones though.
Most of the time, I get started on one and get alot of time into it, then I get frustrated and rip it all apart and start over. Then I get overwhelmed and say "heck with it" and toss it aside! LOL
