My daughter Allie - speaks of a past life...

I have never told her we bury people after they die, actually i havnt really discussed death much. Just you know, they are in heaven with god. She asked who my dad was in a picture i have, i told her he is in heaven and she said, nuh uh hes a baby again. i just laughed.
ever since she could talk she would say little odd things but nothing in great detail, just stuff like "i used to be big" "i was a mommy too" alot of i did that, like driving, having a baby, she will say she has done things she has never done before. like once she said she she had a broken leg, and got mad that i didnt remember. but i just put it off as childish fantasy and make believe, but recently she has had alot more detail sometimes she sais things that send chills down my spine. its not so much what she sais, its how she sais it. she also insist she was born in October, i always have to correct her.
then about a week or so ago we were in the backyard , she was luaghing and playing and told me she used to take her kids to the "prosperk" park to swing. i said how many kids did you have, she said 3. and their names were Abigell,Catherine (she said Cathern) and Little Franky. I was shocked at how old fashioned the names were. I was at a loss for words, she rattled the names off so fast, i dont know where she could have heard those names. then she went back to playing.
she hadnt said anything strange until last night, she asked if we could go to the city. we currently live in Pittsburgh PA, and i said we are in the city. and she said no new yerk city. and i said maybe someday. and she said before i lived in the city. i asked were and she said, her exact words "Winsor Tace" and i said wheres that and she said "Brocklan" (brooklyn maybe?). then went back to playing.
I am very confused, could all of this be fantasy and just her mind playing games? I just dont know, does anyone know anything about New York? Brooklyn, do those places really exsist? I try never out and out ask her, she tells me. I dont understand. My sister said my neice also said some strange things at that age. could this just be a phase. Do any of your kids say things like this also? Am i overeacting. I always kind of believed in reincarnation, but i have never talked to my duaghter about it, shes only 4. She is a normal child, and always developed a little ahead of other children i know, i just dont know what this could be.

mom2tripp replied: wow, I'm kinda at a loss for words as I read your post. It sounds like a little more than chilidish fantasy if she's talking about stuff that you haven't even talked to her about like being buried. I really can't give you any advice other than maybe taking her to talk to someone would help get everything out and really determine where it is all coming from. Sorry I couldn't help more but I do think you have a very interesting post.

For being only 4 she knows way to much and its kinda creepy but cool at the sametime.

I mean it doesnt cuase her a problem, just every once in a while she was out an out shock us. I just dont know where she gets this stuff, i mean she doesnt watch alot of tv, nick jr, and disney. some videos and movies but nothing that talks about death or other lives. so none of you have any experiences with this sort of thing?

I haven't told meny people about it... just my granparents...... cause I was currious about if I ever met him.... and I knew things, but we don't know how.... like I knew what the car looked like in my mind... that he had.....
I don't know if I have had a reincarnation or something...... I don't know what to think about it.... I try block it, but now that I know I'm not the only one that has had this happen, I might have to get it checked up on.....
The only thing I know of, is when I was born, I had problems... and stoped breathing.... and the Queen of King Island, died in the next room, and when she did I started crying.... They pronounced me dead for a few minutes.... then I started crying....
The natives in the village that I am from belive that her soul went in to my body.... and I feel that they are right... cause I know things... that I wasn't there for..... So I am the soul princess of King Island......
It might be to far off gard for you all to belive.... so if you don't... please disregard it... as if I never said it.... if it will make you look @ me any differant....
I normally keep it to me and my family.... and a few friends..... but this is in my exsperience......

I know myself that I've been there and done that before but never have if you know what I mean? Same conversations same ppl. that blows my mind when that happends.
If I dont finnish a dream out ummm it happens in the real and thats scary.

I remember stuff... but not in real detail like her.... I remember names of people that are nolonger here that I never met.... but never really knew what I was like or who I was.... just thought it was weird that I knew poeple that my grandparents grew up with, and I never met them....

I think you should probe! Ask her where her kids are..things like that...find out more! They say that kids are VERY much more in tune with things like this than we as adults are..so in my opinion, if you believe there is some validity to this, then I would find out all that you can now before she gets older and tunes/blocks it out!
Ivy, I don't think you're weird for what you said!! it sort of goes along with the story line in the 7th sign! I loved that movie for the mere fact, that it really made me think!!

When my daughter was about 3 or so she told me he birthday was May 22, she had 6 kids and she was "old but that was before I came to live with you" then she left to go play like it was nothing. Very weird. Since that was my mother's bithday, my mom had 6 kids and died two years before my daughter was born. Other similar conversations have happened. She sometimes will call my aunts and uncles her sisters and brothers. And she talks about some of them like she knows them even though she only met them once or not at all since they died as well before she was born. I have always, until reading your post, chalked it up to my reading too much into what she says. Now, I find it all very interesting Again!
I don't have any advice for you, just find it very interesting. Please keep us informed as to other things your daughter has to say. She seems very in touch with whatever this is, her imagination or something else.

i found this site of brooklyn neighborhoods, but i cant find any windsor tace. theres so many.does anyone else see anything. im starting to think this is just fantasy. but its still very odd. I ran into a few sites about children who "still remember" and they say the key age is 2-5, 3 being the hotspot for past life memories emerging. they say the forget as they age. I want to find out more but i also dont want to push her to make anything up. next time she tells me, i will ask a few questions. Nonetheless she is a very special girl and i love her very much.
amymom!!! wow it sounds like your duaghter is your mother? that is very strange. but from some sites i have been reading it sounds like this is fairly common.

But when I was about 18 I went to my mom and told her that I knew what she looked like....... I then went on to describe my sister to my mom. I told her that she didn't look as much like me as she did my older (7years older) sister. My mom was amazed. She told me that she did look more like my older sister than me as we were not identical twins.
My son has told me about dreams he has had and then they come true.... not just personal stuff either... stuff outside of our family. My daughter has only opened up a couple of times about it too.
It is hard to open up because there are people who would judge and feel you are crazy. Thanks everyone for opening up.... we all can use support sometimes.
I'd be very interested in this as well and ask some questions if the opportunity arises again. I don't think it would hurt to show an interst when she talks about it and research what she is telling you.

Today i have off and on asked her a few questions, when i asked where did you live before you came to live with me. here are her exact, or fairly exact words(in quotes) everything is spelt phonetically exactly how she said it, so the spellings may be off if these places also really exsist.

"yep, i lived on other streets too"

i still dont want to push her too much, but i will gradually ask more questions. its amazing how fast she sais it, not like when shes making up a story, and how she sais it, shes so, like matter of fact about it. like i should know these things. I will have to look these things up, if any of you would like to help feel free, im not that good at researching i dont really know where to begin.

I'd probably ask what her full name was and her exact birthday and maybe what kind of car she drove. That would narrow down the time

It's more for famous people... but there are non famous people there too.....
Maybe ask her if she had anyone famous in her family? that's all I can think of..... or ask her what Abbet field is.....?
But there is also an Ebbet's field, where the Dodger's played.... but is no longer there from what I get... and they made a new Dodger's stadium.....

She also said maybe take her to a hypnosis, but not a counceler, cause they might say she is skiso and put her on meds....
She also said she could be a few years off, cause back then, some birth certifisates were messed up and didn't have the right year they were born and off by a few years.... like her ex-husbands dad's was off by 3 years.....
Maybe ask her where she was born, or where she was barried.....

Mary browski did turn up results for me, just nothing that matched. it even corrected it to mary borowski, but i still thought it would have been spelt how she said it.

Actually i have a few pictures she has drawn i try to keep all of her little things. I will look at them tommorow to see if anything is more than childish doodles. I have thought about hypnosis but isnt she a bit to young for that? Im still a bit skeptical, i mean you can really punch in any name on ancestry.com and find something, so i dont know.
