I'm sure he's secretly tickled. He's an odd duck and not much noticed by his peers, I think. Of course, I appreciate anyone who appreciates my kids... I happen to think they're both just gorgeous.  They are so sweet together. I'm really lucky that Michael is a responsible teenager... I sure wasn't!

I do love his eyes... I just wish I could SEE them. Most of the time they're behind all that hair. I call him Cousin It sometimes. His hair just drives my mother nuts, but she agrees with me - hair is NOT worth fighting over. Anyway, he's trying to grow it out long enough to pull it all back... at least that's something I can deal with. I actually kind of like long hair on men (says the woman married to the bald guy)... I just miss seeing Michael's EYES.
Gabriel ran a fever of 102 yesterday and he's coughing badly and making all kinds of noise when he breathes today. I think it's mostly gunk-in-the-throat noise, but just to be sure, we have a 2:45 appointment with the pediatrician. I do NOT want to go into the weekend not knowing what's going on with him. If his lungs and ears are clear, then he can cough and snuffle around all weekend, I won't worry and I won't have to haul him off to the ER or a urgent care clinic - thereby exposing him to heaven only knows what, AND running my copay through the ceiling.
Oh... and I had Gabriel in daycare one day a week - just to give me a break since DH works out of state and is seldom home. I took him out because that's where he keeps getting all these respiratory bugs and it was causing more problems than it was fixing. Hopefully once he's through with this one, and isn't going to daycare at all, he'll be healthy for a while!

Sorry Gabriel is not feeling well, I am glad you are going to the Peds. I thought his ear was bothering him in the picture, the way his finger is up to the side of his face is exactly how my kids did it when they had ear infections.

texasp3 replied: The boys really are very close to each other, and we feel very lucky that Michael is so crazy about his little brother. It would be easy for there to be resentment - they're half-brothers, and Michael was pretty used to being the One and Only. But he's been bonkers over Gabriel since the day Gabriel was born... maybe before!
