My appointment....

Hillbilly Housewife wrote: the gyn said there was nothing he could do for the itching... he recommended a cream, which I already have.... ugh!

Anyhoo... I was subjected to yet another painful internal exam. I told him that frankly I was surprised that I had another one...since I'd had one 2 weeks ago. He told me that I could expect one every week.... erg.

On the plus side - I am 2 centimetes dilated.

Woohoo!

amynicole21 replied: Yay!

Try oatmeal baths for the itching... they never worked for me, but maybe they will for you! wink.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Woohoo! Progress! thumb.gif Sorry about the exam... seriously if I were you I'd tell him that I didn't want them at every appointment unless he had a really good reason for them! That would really irk me.

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
Well, he does. Sorta.

He tells me it's because the last time, he had to do the streptocoque test, so he checked while he was there... sorta took me by surprise. This week, he asked me if I was having a lot of contractions, I told him I was - so he <needed> to see if I was dilated. And, I gained 4 pounds, mostly water weight..... so I said OK.

He said that because I was dilated, he'd check every week.... becuase if I get to past 3 centimetres and I still ahvent' gone into labor, that I could possibly have my membranes stripped.

So....seemed like a reasonable explanation to me.... even if I don't like em.

~Roo'sMama~ replied:
Yeah that makes sense I guess. I'd hate to be getting so many though ~ ouch!! blink.gif tongue.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied:
so I just.... put oatmeal in my bath?
