My Vacation update - Pics included

We had a really good time at the beach. It was Friggin hot tho. and super humid. We were staying about 1/4 mile off the beach, and only went down there first thing in the morning, from about 9 till 10:30 or so, then we had to hide in the house the rest of the day. After dinner we would go back out there, but we couldn't stay in the water long, because apparently, the sharks would come out at dusk.

My video camera and digital camera both had some problems with humidity, so I didn't get very many good pictures.
Here are Alexis and Benjamin on the beach. Al was totally fearless, she would run to the water, and loved the waves. I held her out in the waves a bit and we jumped through them. She had a blast. Benjamin on the other hand was way cautious. He wore his life vest in the surf, and pretty much refused to go any further into the water than ankle deep. He Would lay in the sand and wait for the waves to come up to him, then kick his feet and flail his arms while shouting "I"M SWIMMING!!!!!"






This is my MIL and Benjamin fishing in the sound. He did a lot of fishing out there. He caught a crab with his pole and was super thrilled until he got it over the dock, and the crab let go of the line and started running around. There was a lot of screaming and running. It was hilarious. DH bought his a crab bucket after that, and they caught a bunch. The thrill of the hunt was better than actually catching them tho. He is deathly afraid of getting pinched by one.




Friday we went to Broadway at the beach in Myrtle beach. It was a really good time. It was surface of the sun hot out there tho, so we didn't get to stay long. We ate some ice cream, then DH and his brother took the kids mini golfing while my SIL and I got our first Henna tattoos. we are such rebels.



We spent the last days of our vacation at my BIL's house where the men assembled my nieces new play set. It was such a mess. The kids got filthy playing on it. This is my pretty girl, as messy as a boy. When I gave the kids their baths, they water turned totally brown. eew.



We also got to go to Ft. Bragg and see the helicopters mt BIL fixes, and my SIL took Benjain for a ride in a HUGE army truck. Ben had a total blast, but I'm not posting those pictures, just incase, you know, national security, and all that.

Thank you. I sure don't feel tiny. Esp. after that pic DH took of me in my bikini. I guess no one is ever satisfied with what they look like.
