My Friend's Husband - P&pt's

My2Beauties wrote: I just talked to DF on my lunch and he infomed that a friend of ours husband killed himself last night. She had split up with him a few days ago (well they did this quite often) and he called her last night and told her that if she didn't call him back by 8:00 that he was going to hang himself. I don't know the whole story but she either didn't get his message or she just thought he was being dumb and not serious and never called him back. But he did it, he hung himself I am in disbelief still. I didn't know him really well at all because he wasn't around a lot when we all hung out, he stayed to himself when he did come out with us but she is one of the sweetest people I know and I can't believe she has to deal with this!! I"m so sad for her

DansMom replied: I'm so sorry. The suicidal impulse is very complicated psychologically, and often is a lifelong struggle starting at a young age (teens usually). Some people are vocal and have a lot of false attempts and are manipulative, while others never reach out and nobody knows what they are planning. Your friend should not blame herself---it is not due to anything she did or did not do (that could have been his excuse, but it was definitely not the reason).

My2Beauties replied: Thanks guys..they are laying him out tomorrow afternoon between 2-7 and then his funeral is Wednesday. I am going tomorrow night to pay my respects but the funeral is up in Indiana pretty far from here so I won't be able to attend unfortunately. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, she needs them right now.
