My DH deserves an award

He told me last night that he had a suprise planned and that he was going to go ahead and tell me. He arranged for a co-workers two teenaged daughters to come babysit for Katherine so that we could go out to a nice dinner...just the two of us.

His co-worker chided him for not letting it be a suprise but my DH knows me so well. He knew I would have freaked out because I a) would have probably still been in my PJ's since I had Katherine all day the house was a mess and i can't stand to have anyone, even a couple of teenagers, over without at least vaccuming and tidying up a bit and c) I don't do well with suprises. I need a bit of planning time. I made a babysitter checklist, cleaned the house and was showered and looking as hot as this big ol' prego-moto can possibly look.

We ended up at a yummy Thai place and had a great dinner, nice conversation and came home to one worn out toddler.

He has won himself some free time tomorrow, after our OB ward tour, to watch football uninterrupted. Maybe I'll take K to the mall.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: WOW!! Kudos to your DH! What a great guy you have! I'm so glad you got to get out and enjoy yourselves. It is nice to dress up every now and then. It gives a chance for our hubbies to see us out of our pj's for a change.

Gosh, I think my DH gets more INSENSITIVE during pg then anything. This is like the third night out for him while I'm here in bed typing quietly while Kyle is sleeping. He thinks I should stay home since I'm pg and go to sleep early.
