Most annoying toy - for a 1 year old
PrairieMom wrote: My niece is turning 1 next month and i need a SUPER annoying toy to get for her. (My BIL got us a chicken dance Elmo, so its total payback time) It has to be loud, with no volume control, can be turned on, but not off, (you know the type) very repetitive, and highly adictive for a 1 year old. Any suggestions?
C&K*s Mommie replied: We had some CareBears that you could not adjust or turn off. One would sing some songs, the other would say prayers. Needless to say it got old after a while.
TheOaf66 replied: hmm, well along the same lines as the elmo thing, Tanner was in love with this dancing gopher that my BIL had from the movie Caddyshack. Another good one is Tanner has a keyboard that has a repeat demo feature that plays the same tune over and over and over and over.....
My DW also one year got him a little drummer boy set that goes around his neck and he would walk around the house all the time and sometimes even wake us up that way (why she would buy such a thing is beyond me) but it came with the drum, tamborine, moraccas (sp?), finger cymbals, etc all inside the drum oh was that a joy to have around the house
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Drums are GREAT annoying toys! And sooooooo much fun at that age!!
moped replied: Drum set!
Or a play guitar that is the most annoying thing I have ever seen. A freind got Jack one for his bday - I hate it
boyohboyohboy replied: IS she into the wiggles? They make the most annoying guitar, and it was so loud we had to place tape over the speaker in the inside to be able to listen to it..
also we had a stuff animal I think it was a turtle, that giggles constantly when squeezed, there was no on or off button, and of course the kids squeezed it constantly, it was so soft.....
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: A guitar is great...but probably not for a one year old...Katy was truely obnoxious with hers until it dissappeared. hmmmmm wonder what happened to it A drun set is good if it is a loud one. some are really pretty tame. I am nice and usually do books for first b-days but one of my friends sons jsut turned one and I got him a xylephone...fairly loud and very annoying I think the most annoying thing Katy got for her first was teh Learn through music because she was no where near ready for it and there was no volume control. everytime you push something it will start the song over so we would hear "we are going on a, we are going on a, we are going on a" for 5 minutes straight until I would take her hand away and it could finish the sentence.
Momof3inMe replied: Em has this but its a duck and it's annoying. She loves it b/c it's soft.
holley79 replied: I have no clue but be sure to let us in on what you got.
PrairieMom replied: We have that too. We taped kleenex over ours.
PrairieMom replied: Oh HELLO! That may be our winner. I can justify it by saying it will help with Her development!
Boo&BugsMom replied: I hear there is a Super Tickle Me Elmo coming out very soon!
What about a small electronic drum kit? It's not too advanced. All they do is pound on it with plastic drumsticks and push the buttons! Fisher Price makes ALL sorts of musical instruments! If anything, go for a music instrument...loud and annoying! Especially if you have our son who has about 6 different ones and gets them all going at the same time...like it's his one man band!
If you go to Target or if you have a Toys R US near you, they have ALL sorts of instruments and instrument sets to buy, just like the drummer boy set Tanner has!
Boo&BugsMom replied: I can stand it because I deal with the noise ALL week honey! This is why I don't cringe when people get us noisy toys! I'm sooooooo use to it. Sucks to be you I guess, hey?
coasterqueen replied: Not sure if this is for a one year old...the sit in spin that has music. It has literally NO on/off button, at least the one we have, and it's completely and utterly annoying!
Boo&BugsMom replied: Ohhhh, that is an awesome idea! Tanner has it, and YES, it is annoying. If a button is pushed you can't turn it off! And the music is HORRIBLE!
PrairieMom replied: Oh yeah! I got that for the neighbor girl for christmas! in my defence, I had NO idea it was so annoying!
