Middleton Dolls
ammommy wrote: Has anyone seen these? One of the stores here just opened a Middleton Doll shop and I am in love middleton dolls The website doesn't do the dolls justice. They look and feel so real, come with adorable outfits (which is where they get you!), and the concept is so cute. The shop is set up like a nursery at a hospital. The sales person is dressed in nurse's scrubs and helps the child "adopt" the baby. You get adoption papers complete with foot prints and measurements. If the baby needs to be repaired, you send it off to the baby spa and he or she comes back in a spa robe. I'm hooked and both Alec and Megan want one. MUST...RESIST...URGE...to blow that much money$$$$
PrairieMom replied: What a cute idea! Okay, so these dolls are seriously $99.00? do they come naked for that price or do you get some accessories? I am way to cheap to spend that kind of $ on something like that. If it was a specialty store like that , they MIGHT soak me for $50.00 total for outfits and baby and everything!
C&K*s Mommie replied: They are so adorable!! I want to explore the website more, but they are very cute!! I am cheap too, but these might be an idea for our girls- minus them playing with it.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Those look so sweet! Tay would love that...maybe a gift cert from Santa in the future!
ammommy replied: Yes, unfortunately they are priced pretty high. The store that carries them here has different packages that comes with different accessories like high chair, stroller, crib, extra outfits, etc. The outfits run about 25-45$ depending on the outfit. It's definately a grandma gift The recommended age is 3+ when kids can be a fairly gentle, but they are sturdy. They are just so darned cute...this is why it's dangerous for me to go shopping these days
~KARA~ replied: My oldest dd got one a few years ago from my aunt for xmas. she got like 4 outfits with it and it was like 200$$.
ammommy replied: How old was she when she got it and how has it held up?
luvbug00 replied: they are very pretty but we aren't gonna get them any times soon Dolls creap Brad out. LOL
TANNER'S MOM replied: I have been to one of these stores.. and let me tell you they are awesome.
Randy was with me.. we were shopping at a near by tourist town.. walked by the window saw the babies and went in. He even had to Awww a few times..
The store was set up like looking thru a nursery glass... and they babies were all in there clear plastic hospital bassinets.. they had a CD. playing that had nursery sounds.
You asked the nurse to see the baby.. and she would bring it to the window..lol You had to put on a scrub thing..to go in the nursery and sit in the rocking chair to hold the babies..
It was too cute.. and I still think it was sooo neat..
If I was rich I would have them babies girl!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I went and looked around the site a little more and they had some "play babies" for $35.00, not too bad but I don't think that the stores around me are the nursery kind they are just 'retailers' Seems like you have to get the full experience! Kinda like buying a build-a-bear at target...Tay got one and it just wasn't the same as when we went there to do it! Lol!
mckayleesmom replied: Hey...I just looked online and we have a retailer 9 miles from me....I have actually seen the store, but just thought it was a scrapbooking store.
mom21kid2dogs replied: The factory is about an hour from my house. My former supervisor goes to church with Lee Middleton~small world, eh?
5littleladies replied: My girls all have Lee Middleton Newborn Wonder play babies. The are soo cute!!(more so before they were played with but they are under 30 dollars so that's ok ) You can get them online from JcPenney's or lots of other sites have them too. This is the one Brianna has, except she is dressed in yellow- http://dollshop.babycatalog.com/lee-middle...r-blue-doll-531.
ammommy replied: Maybe we should play a game of 6 degrees of seperation (or is it 7?)
~KARA~ replied: [QUOTE]How old was she when she got it and how has it held up?[QUOTE]
She was 31/2 and it has held up pretty well. The hands are held on with those plastic zip ties, and one broke so the hand fell off. good thing that my dh has lots of zip ties.
I just checked the doll out and the head, hands and feet are held on by those zip ties. SO if you get one and you think your lil one will play with it alot make sure you get some zip ties!!!
