Memorial Day plans?

My2Beauties replied: We're going to down to Leitchifield Ky to Brian's cousin's house. They live by the lake! It's nice!

MommyToAshley replied: I think we are going to our Aunt's house in Kentucky. They have a HUGE house and have invited the extended family for a cookout. I can't wait to see everyone!

We were thinking of going to Gatlinburg as well, but then we decided that it would be too crowded over the Holiday weekend.

Wilmore, Ky... I think that is how it is spelled. Do you know where that is? They just moved there from Lexington. I've seen pictures of their new house but I haven't been there yet so I am not sure exactly where it is. We will most likely follow my parents.

My2Beauties replied: Well I've never heard of Wilmore, but Lexington is only 30 minutes from here! Home of our rivals - UofK

ediep replied: since my DH is still recovering from his surgery, we are staying home for the weekend and we are having a BBQ at my parents house on Monday

How cool is that! If you are close to Lexington, then you are not really that far from us. I think the last time we drove it was about a 4 hour drive. We should arrange to meet some time!

3xsthefun replied: We are going to some friends house tomorrow for cookout and just relax. Not sure what we are going to do sunday and monday. Rob is wanting go to cemetary where his grandparents are burried, so we may do that Sunday or Monday.

amymom replied: Today the kids have off from school (snow day that was unused). My son is gone on a 15 mile canoe trip. They were starting off this morning and we are picking him up tomorrow. They are camping out in the woods somewhere. My daughter has all her sports to contend with, baseball tonight (if it stops raining!!) Hockey tomorrow and then we have nothing Sunday & Monday, maybe I will BBQ on both days.

Kaitlin'smom replied: besides cleaning, some painting having family over and fixing a part of the roof, I am hoping to get to a festival downtown, but I dont think we will get there just to much to do

Yes that would be awesome. I know you're in Ohio, we usually travel up to Kings Island at least once a year too, probably won't get to this year but one weekend you and I should plan on meeting halfway somewhere. I think it's about a 1 1/2 hour drive to the aquarium in Newport, Ky north of Louisville, close to the Ohio border! That would be a nice place to meet and take the kids to!

sorry to inturude...but yes Kait loved the aquarium and its not that far for us, since I am only 5 minutes from M2A

That is great. Di you could come along and bring Kaitlin. We haven't been yet, have been talking about it but just never got around to it! That would be a nice outing - just us pc.com moms

that would be fun, heck I could pick them up in the van and ride together. I am sure Ashley would get a kick out of the DVD player

That would be a lot of fun! We should pick a pretty weekend within these summer months and go! The kids would have a blast, OMG Desiree would have sooo much fun playing with Ashley and Kaitlin!

I am up for it, I do have a lot in June weekends, mostly sundays so saturdays I am open except one, let me know when your thinking. I would so love to me you all.

Do they have room in their suitcase for me? My family is in County Galway. Are they going to one place or touring?

My2Beauties replied:
The only week I can't do anything is the 18-25, that is when we're going on our honeymoon Other than that I am free! Really the best time for me would probably be the weekend after the 4th of July weekend. These next few weekends will be hard due to money and then I'm going out of town, then the 4th of July weekend would probably be way too crowded, I think the weekend after would be nice. The weekend of July 9th or any other weekend thereafter really, except the 23rd, can't do it that day neither, DH's company picnic!

mom21kid2dogs replied: Tonight, nothing. Tomorrow they have Alumni Day activities downtown all day & Stephen's 30th (yes, longer than most of you have been alive!! ) class reunion. Sunday, graduation parties, Monday, cookout with family.
